ERDng is a fashion brand diving into creating sustainable fashion on the African continent. The idea is to use plants to create biodegradable outfits and reuse fashion items found in Nigeria mostly to create luxury womens and mens wear attires.
01.01 Describe your startup in more detail
ERDng stands for Every Radical Design Nigeria. It was created with the idea of starting a fashion house in Nigeria and help with the worlds sustainable development goals. The company plans to use knowledge of local plants and dye techniques to manufacturer goods for export and internal usage. We also plan on creating African stylized jewelries to go with the beautiful eco friendly fashion designs
01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
The fashion industry is very hazardous to the climate because of fast fashion and large stock piles of used outfits. Plastic which is byproduct of petroleum is the most used resource in modern fashion Investing in biodegradable cloths and recycling used cloths to create luxury goods will help with our worlds sustainability goals.

1) Biodegradable fashion will limit waste because items will naturally decompose quickly and is safe for the environment 2) Using Plants to Dye or bleach items reduces industrial waste and natural occuring dyes are nontoxic nonallergic and biodegradable 3) Carbon footprint reduction 4) Using said products also promotes sustainable development goals

Fashion is trend based so it's up to a designer to always watch out for what consumers are heading towards which with the advent of social media trends change almost every three months. The competition is mostly luxury European brands and sports tech companies like Underamor who have better production technology and great material.
