Describe your project or startup in a few words
PPTLinks is an online platform designed to replace projectors in all classrooms, boardrooms and seminars around the world
01.01 Describe your startup in more detail
The concept behind PPTLinks is simple, everyone has a screen in thier pockets and hands, why not make it thier personal projector? By decentrlizing from using a single screen at the front of the classroom, hall or room we have created a system by which the slides or document being projected can be displayed right on the viewers Internet enabled screen device. Allowing the viewer greater control of what he views as he can go back and forward. We also have extended it have audio capabilities for remote and hybrid presentation. We built to work specifically in extreme Internet conditions, meaning it can be trusted to work in live use cases as even if conditions are far from ideal.
01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
In many halls, large classrooms and meeting rooms, it is usually difficult for the audience at the back to properly read what is being displayed on the screens and projectors. The usual solution to such an issue would be to acquire larger screens and more powerful projectors which is expensive and can be constraining
01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your startup provides (at least 3).
1. By using PPTLinks a teacher can make presentations easily for both live remote or hybrid audiences, 2. Solves the problem of large classes as backbenchers can easily follow the presentations from thier own device 3. Works in bad network environments for both live and virtual presentations, considering the current Internet connectivity issues in Nigeria this is ideal 4. The audience have the autonomy to go back to a previous file or segment if they do not properly grasp a point 5. Drastically reduces set up time and cost for all forms of Public presentations 6. With the growing population of Africa and our infrastructure deficit, this would aid the problem of large classes in higher institutions
