Data @nalytics Elites Global Ltd is a community of highly skilled data analysts who have gained mastery in the technical and leadership skills needed to thrive in the information technology industry. We recognize the importance of data literacy, that is, the ability for a person to understand, analyze, communicate, and reason with data in a meaningful way. We advocate the need for data literacy, recognizing it as a fundamental skill set that empowers individuals and businesses to make data driven decisions. We are focused on mentoring aspiring data professionals in data tools and technology such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and Python. 01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
The main problem we are solving is to help individuals and businesses in Africa understand the importance of data in making informed decisions, give quality training and education in analyzing data and help SMEs and NGOs leverage the power of data in enhancing operational efficiency and profitability. We have elaborated the problem we are solving into 3 Stages. Stage 1:Limited Awareness Many people in Africa are unfamiliar with data analytics, they mostly see it as a mere buzzword without understanding its practical benefits. There's a need for increased education, awareness and sensitization. Stage 2:Challenges in Getting Started Those who recognize the importance of data analytics often struggle with where to begin, which tools to use, and how to acquire the necessary skills. Stage 3:Under-utilization of Skills Many who learn data analytics skill fail to integrate it into their daily activities, they are waiting for job offers rather than leveraging their skills to solve problems.
01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your startup provides (at least 3).
1. One of our key feature is that we allow students to learn one data tool at a time, thereby allowing each student to pace their learning and measure progress over three months, six months, and one year time frame. We do not bundle courses together like most competitors. Bundle courses leads to overwhelming students with loads information on a strict deadline, resulting to poor understanding. 2. Upon completing courses with our organization, participants can further enhance their data analytics skills through our unique Build Data Project program. This initiative is designed to sharpen and strengthen the participant skill in Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and Python by collaborating with experts and peers in the data space to work on data projects, fostering knowledge sharing and mutual learning. 3. Internship Opportunities: We recognize and reward excellence by selecting the top-performing teams from the Build Data Project for internship and volunteering opportunities.
01.04 Please describe who exactly your startup’s product/service is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?
We are focused on serving Africans (within the African Continents and the Diaspora) between the age of 13 years to 60 years. Demography Segmentation by age: We target a diverse range of age groups spanning from 13 to 60 years old, from adolescents exploring technology to seasoned professionals harnessing data analytics for their careers. We are empowering people of all ages to engage with technology. Demography Segmentation by Location: We tailor our services for Africans (within the continent of Africa and diaspora). By extending our solutions to Africans worldwide, we aim to create a unified ecosystem where individuals, regardless of their geographic location, can access and leverage data analytics to its fullest potential. 06.08 Justification for my startup
In Africa, the exposure to the use of technology especially the field of data analytics is still very low, though we have several organizations who are promoting education and awareness in this field. We are one of those organizations in Africa, bridging the technology knowledge and skill gap in Africa. Our service is not relatively new but our approach to delivering training and education is completely new to the market. Most companies do combo courses, with lots of technological jargon that makes it difficult for a layman to understand these technological concepts. This bundle courses have a strict deadline, when the course must end. We allow our students to pace their learning and we do not offer combo courses. We understand that each student is unique, while some student can easily understand some technology concept, some people need a little more time to fully grasp the concepts. We have a 30-mins daily learning culture, encouraging our students to engage in incremental learning
06.09 Competitive Analysis
Here are our main competitors 1. Utiva 2. Data Science Nigeria (DSN) 3. Dataleum 4. Quantum Analytics Here is what makes us stand out from competition: 1. Our approach to training: We do not offer combo courses like our competitors do, we allow students to pace their learning and we measure their performance in 3 months, 6 months and 1 year period. We have a culture of daily learning, that is each student has to learn something new in data analytics for 30 mins everyday and a summary of their learning will be shared to our community groups. 2. Our Build Data Project Program: This program allows data analyst to collaborates and build project together as team. On the program, we have had several alumni from competitor organizations join the program. Build Data Project is not a competition or a hackathon, the goal is to create a safe place for people to express their data analytics skill on a project and get feedback that will help them improve and become better in data analytics.
