Describe your project or startup in a few words
GCL revolutionizes Nigerian logistics with AI-driven, eco-friendly last-mile delivery solutions. We connect urban and rural areas seamlessly, enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and supporting small businesses, driving economic growth and sustainability
01.01 Describe your startup in more detail
Our primary focus is on resolving the inefficiencies and fragmentation in last-mile delivery, especially in underserved rural and semi-urban areas Using innovative, technology-driven solutions. GCL will ease the movement of goods in a way/manner that increases revenue (profits) for the seller, reduces costs for the buyer, and increase customer satisfaction generally. While other logistics companies are laser focused on expanding to int’l markets, GCL wants to consolidate local deliveries and make it easy to send packages anywhere within Nigeria by leveraging Ai-driven route optimization technology, phone location data, photographs, and GPS technology to verify, locate, and identify hard-to-reach addresses in locations across the country. We also utilize eco-friendly vehicles and sustainable packaging to minimize our environmental footprint. Our user-friendly mobile app allows customers to easily request deliveries and monitor their progress in just a few clicks.
01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
Logistics in Nigeria is so fragmented that it’s now easier to send goods internationally than to deliver them domestically. While exporting and importing goods to Nigeria have so many solutions simplifying the process, the challenges of “last-mile delivery within the country” remain unaddressed. Rural and semi-urban areas are most affected due to difficulties in identifying and navigating customer locations and insufficient tracking data. This imbalance means items can be sent abroad with relative ease, but distributing them within Nigeria is cumbersome. If these logistics challenges are not resolved, 70% of small businesses may collapse, driving inflation and costing the global economy $200 billion annually. GCL aims to bridge this gap by providing seamless, reliable last-mile delivery services across Nigeria, leveraging advanced technology to enhance efficiency and accuracy, ultimately supporting economic growth and sustainability for businesses and consumers alike.
