01.01 Describe your startup in more detail
MOBICT (Mobile Computer Training ) is a pioneering social enterprise dedicated to bridging the digital divide in underserved communities. We achieve this by deploying mobile training centers equipped with advanced digital learning tools and powered by sustainable solar energy. These centers travel to public schools, IDP camps, rural areas, and other marginalized communities, providing essential digital literacy and technology skills. Our programs cover a wide range of topics from basic computer skills to advanced tech training, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility. By empowering individuals with digital skills, MOBICT fosters socioeconomic development, enhances educational outcomes, and creates opportunities for employment and entrepreneurship, ultimately contributing to the broader goal of sustainable development.
01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
MOBICT aims to solve the pervasive issue of digital illiteracy and the lack of access to technology education in underserved communities. Many marginalized areas, including public schools, IDP camps, and rural settlements, suffer from inadequate ICT infrastructure and resources, leaving residents without essential digital skills. This digital divide limits educational opportunities, hinders socioeconomic development, and restricts access to information and job prospects. By providing mobile training centers equipped with advanced ICT tools and powered by sustainable solar energy, MOBICT ensures that everyone, regardless of geographical or socioeconomic barriers, can access quality digital education, thereby fostering inclusivity, empowerment, and long-term development.

This innovative approach not only reduces operational costs but also ensures uninterrupted training sessions in areas with limited or unreliable electricity. 3. Security and Mobility: MOBICT training vans are designed to be safe from theft and vandalism, as they can be relocated to secure locations when not in use. This mobility ensures that our valuable equipment is protected, and training can be conducted safely and efficiently whenever needed.
01.04 Please describe who exactly your startup’s product/service is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?
MOBICT's services are primarily aimed at underserved and marginalized communities, including youth and adults in rural areas, public schools, IDP camps, and other regions with limited access to digital education and technology. Our targeted beneficiaries include: 1. Students: In public and private schools, especially in primary 4, JSS2, and SS2, who need foundational and intermediate digital literacy skills. 2.
