Describe your project or startup in a few words
IDOTI's app connects waste stakeholders, converts food waste to livestock feed, fertilizer, and fuel, and recycles other waste, promoting a closed-loop supply chain and efficient waste trading.
01.01 Describe your startup in more detail
IDOTI is revolutionizing waste management with climate-smart innovations that address global challenges such as waste disposal, protein demand, clean energy, and environmental conservation. Our mission is to create closed-loop supply chains where waste materials are continuously recycled and repurposed. The IDOTI App is designed to optimize waste disposal by engaging four key stakeholders: households, waste collectors, recyclers, and waste pickers. This collaboration facilitates efficient waste material flow and promotes circularity. Our app incentivizes proper waste sorting and reduction at the source. By encouraging households and businesses to separate their waste and divert organic materials from landfills, we significantly reduce the environmental impact of waste disposal. We collect food waste and convert it into valuable resources using Black Soldier Fly (BSF) technology, transforming waste into high-protein feed for livestock. Other types of waste are collected and recycled.
01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
The main problem IDOTI addresses is the inefficient waste management system, which leads to environmental degradation, resource wastage, and increased landfill use. Globally, over 1.3 billion tons of food are wasted each year, amounting to a staggering US$1 trillion in lost food. Food waste contributes 3.3 billion tons of CO2 emissions and generates methane, a potent greenhouse gas, accelerating climate change. Discarded food, byproducts, and sewage, rich in nutrients, could be harnessed to grow new food or create biomaterials. Inefficient waste disposal not only squanders these resources but also exacerbates environmental harm. IDOTI promotes proper waste sorting and recycling, converting food waste into high-protein livestock feed, bio-fertilizer for crops, and bio-fuel for energy systems. By ensuring circularity, we reduce landfill waste, lower environmental impact, and create sustainable value chains.
01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your startup provides (at least 3).
By promoting proper waste sorting and recycling, IDOTI significantly reduces the amount of waste sent to landfills, thereby cutting down on harmful methane emissions and overall carbon footprint. This helps mitigate climate change and promotes a healthier environment. Secondly, we convert food waste into high-protein livestock feed, bio-fertilizer, and bio-fuel. This approach not only conserves valuable resources but also promotes a circular economy where waste is continuously repurposed into useful products, reducing the need for new raw materials. Thirdly, our platform connects households, waste collectors, recyclers, and waste pickers, creating a streamlined and efficient waste management system. The app incentivizes users to properly sort and dispose of waste, leading to cost savings, job creation, and improved waste management practices across communities. This fosters economic growth and social well-being while addressing waste-related challenges.
01.04 Please describe who exactly your startup’s product/service is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?
Our targeted beneficiaries include: Households: We aim to empower individuals and families to manage their waste efficiently by providing incentives for proper waste sorting and disposal, thus fostering environmentally responsible behavior at the source. Waste Collectors and Pickers: IDOTI connects these stakeholders with households and recyclers, streamlining the collection process and ensuring they are rewarded for their efforts, thereby improving their livelihoods and working conditions. Recyclers: By providing a steady stream of sorted waste, IDOTI helps recyclers operate more efficiently and profitably, ensuring that recyclable materials are repurposed effectively. Agriculture and Livestock Sectors: Our innovative approach converts food waste into high-protein livestock feed and bio-fertilizer, benefiting farmers and livestock producers by providing sustainable and cost-effective alternatives.

IDOTI's approach to waste management is highly innovative. While waste management solutions exist most of them concentrate on solid waste (Plastic, Iron, Cartoon e.t.c), our integration of technology, incentive-based waste collection systems, and conversion of food waste into high-protein livestock feed using Black Soldier Fly technology sets us apart. We address multiple challenges simultaneously, including waste reduction, environmental conservation, and protein demand, making our solution unique and impactful.
06.09 Competitive Analysis
Our main potential competitors include traditional waste management companies and startups offering similar waste reduction and recycling solutions such as OKWUEOAPP, Pakam and Scrapays. However, what sets IDOTI apart is our comprehensive approach that integrates technology, incentive-based systems, and innovative waste conversion technologies like Black Soldier Fly (BSF) technology. While other companies may focus solely on waste collection or recycling, IDOTI offers a holistic solution that addresses the entire waste management process from collection to conversion, resulting in a more efficient and sustainable approach. Additionally, our emphasis on community engagement, job creation, and environmental impact sets us apart as a socially and environmentally responsible choice in the market.
