Now what is Feteflex Feteflex is an innovative event management platform set to transform the entertainment industry in Africa. Our goal is simple, to make event planning easy by providing a transparent, secure, and accessible solution that connects event organizers, artists, venues, vendors, and service providers, by introducing a centralized platform that acts as a marketplace for all event-related needs. Our unified event management platform simplifies the booking process with an effortless booking system and an escrow payment system, ensuring secure transactions. We provide visibility and opportunities for businesses, local artists, vendors, and event professionals, helping them reach a wider audience and secure more bookings.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

Finding and booking suitable venues or artists is often a cumbersome and timeconsuming process. Customers report challenges faced in finding event spaces and professionals, resulting in stress and inefficiencies due to excessive time, effort, and resources spent on searching. Organizers encounter significant challenges in sourcing reliable vendors for every aspect of an event, from securing venue availability to ensuring they receive the services they pay for, as they risk losing money by paying for services that aren't rendered. The lack of a secure and transparent platform creates a frustrating and expensive experience for everyone involved. Data shows that every year, the events industry experiences a massive loss of US$2.6 billion due to impersonation scams, booking difficulties, payment disputes, and logistical challenges. This highlights the pressing need for better security and transparency when connecting organizers with reliable service providers.

I am Richard Emmanuel, the sole owner of Feteflex, an early-stage startup. I have a strong background in project management and over 3 years of experience in product/UI/UX design and management. I have successfully connected individuals in need of event planning services with suitable event planners, facilitating transactions totaling approximately 845,000 naira. Before starting my own business, I collaborated with several artists as a music producer and worked alongside experienced event managers with 5-10 years of industry experience. These experiences provided me with valuable insights into navigating industry complexities and enhancing my expertise in product management. My commitment to personal and professional growth is evident through my continuous learning. Over the past six months, I have completed eight entrepreneurship courses, including specialized programs like "Product Ideation, Design, and Management" from the University of Maryland.
