01.01 Describe your startup in more detail
Eco Circular Solutions Provider Ltd is a social and circular economy enterprise in Nigeria, leveraging waste as a resource for poverty alleviation and transforming waste into green building and construction materials with her propriety and patented technology to enable Nigerian have access to affordable, locally made, eco-friendly, green building and construction materials. Thereby, tackling environmental pollution alongside poverty to address housing deficit; SDG 13, 1, 4, 9, 11 and 17. We sensitize, train and empower women and youth to aggregate waste in exchange for incentive and enrollment of their out of school children in school, while equally re-processing the waste into eco-friendly green building and construction materials. Our innovation, i.e the reprocessing & conversion of waste paper and textile waste alone has offered over 5000 individuals and businesses to earn economic gains cross the value chain created by our innovation. 01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
THE PROBLEMS: in Nigeria (1) Over 63% of persons living within Nigeria are multidimensionally poor. (2) More than 10 million Nigerian children do not have the opportunity to attend school. 3) An average of 42 million tonnes of wastes is generated annually, where and how to channel these wastes is a huge problem. (4) According to the UN, Nigeria has the highest deforestation rate in the world, with an estimated 3.7% of its forest lost every year. (5) Nigeria currently has housing deficit of 17 million houses, with projected growth rate of 13.9% annually as a result of increase in population that birthed the demand for new abode.

In offering a lasting solution to the waste pollution menace, In year 2022, I and two of my colleague started “Community Waste Recycling Scheme” to leverage waste to alleviate poverty and return out of school children back to school by empowering button of pyramid women and youth to aggregate waste and exchange it for incentives. The aggregated waste is further re-process into low-cost, green building and construction materials. We are recycling waste paper (cartons, mutilated currency note, cardboards) and textile (cloth) waste into non-asbestos ceiling tiles and panels. So far, we have empowered over 3000 women & youth, returned 20 out of school children back to school and created 9 direct jobs and over 15000 economic gains across the materials sourcing, recycling, manufacturing, sales, delivery and installation value chain. Our technology recycling and converting paper waste into green product alone is saving over 4000 trees from being fell annually for virgin production of ceiling

The existing ceiling tiles are made from wood pulp which is simply a deforestation process. Our technology made us sustainably different with the utilization and reprocessing waste instead of wood pulp into ceiling tiles and panels. Aside the environmental impact, our social innovation is is transforming waste into a social of social impact to alleviate poverty and returning out of school children back to school. As for the Product: ECOceiling Tiles offered the following sustainable benefits: Health benefit: Non-asbestos ceiling tiles not prone user to cancer as in the case of asbestos which is an existing alternative. Sustainable green impact: reusable, recyclable and affordable, and sizable to support last mile transportation. Product features: green, low-cost, reusable, recyclable, affordable, eco-friendly, non-asbestos, durable, aesthetic (beautiful) , resistant to pest, fire, water and climate conditions. It has idea embossment and can be branded or customize with customers logo/s
