TasteClan is a food delivery company focused on promoting nutritional health among youth. We aim to build a health-conscious community by providing convenient, nutritious meals and fostering awareness about proper nutrition.

Students or young professionals become so absorbed in their immediate tasks that they neglect the long-term effect on their health. They reach their potential but not in peak health. Fast food has replaced healthy eating due to a lack of focus on intentional eating. TasteClan’s solution is fostering community-based growth. We provide a platform for quick food delivery, enhanced food plans, and personalised timetables. This approach ensures that health is prioritised without compromising convenience. I often got so consumed with work that I forgot to eat or drink water, relying on physical reminders despite readily available food and water. I opted for snacks and cooked only when convenient. Living with someone who prioritized my health made me realize that sustainable nutrition requires a supportive ecosystem, not only healthy options. This experience highlighted the importance of a community that fosters healthy habits, making it easier to stay on track with nutrition.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

We are tackling the problem of unhealthy eating habits among youth. Fast food and convenience overshadow nutritious choices, leading to poor dietary habits and suboptimal health. This issue is compounded by a lack of awareness and intentionality in eating habits, with speed and convenience prioritized over nutrition. Furthermore, there is a scarcity of supportive environments that encourage healthy eating. Even when healthy options are available, the absence of a community or system to promote and sustain these choices makes it difficult for individuals to maintain a nutritious diet. Limited access to personalized nutritional advice and the misconception that healthy eating is inconvenient or time-consuming exacerbate the problem. These unhealthy eating habits contribute to various health issues, including obesity, diabetes and other chronic conditions, impacting both physical and mental well-being.

TasteClan offers a convenient solution for busy individuals by providing easy access to a variety of nutritious meals from different restaurants. Users can order meals online and have them delivered to their doorstep within minutes, saving time and effort. We go beyond just offering healthy options by providing personalized consultations and meal plans tailored to individual needs. This ensures that users are making informed and health-conscious choices. TasteClan fosters a supportive community focused on nutritional awareness and health. This community aspect encourages users to stay committed to their health goals and provides a sense of belonging. With our social platforms, we educate our community members on nutrition and healthy eating habits. Through various initiatives and content, users can learn more about the importance of nutrition and how to make better food choices for their overall well-being.

TasteClan innovates on the existing food delivery startups, we do this by maximasing the power of community and highlighting the effects of proper education of food eating habits to foster nutritional health amongst youth.

TasteClan faces competition from Jumia Foods, Chowdeck, Eden Life, and HeyFoods, which operate similarly but in other states. However, TasteClan sets itself apart with its innovative community-focused approach. Our primary goal is to enhance nutrition consciousness among youth, ensuring they are not just well-fed but also make informed, health-conscious food choices.

Yes, being a female entrepreneur and working towards my dreams and goals inspire others ladies to do the same for themselves, as they have told me. I also have given talks to encourage young ladies to begin executing their vision.
