01.01 Describe your startup in more detail
A Backend-as-a-Service (BaaS) software solution that enables frontend developers to create robust and scalable products without backend and DevOps engineers. Traditionally, building and maintaining the backend infrastructure of an application requires specialized skills and a dedicated team, which can be both costly and time-consuming. Our product addresses this challenge by providing an all-in-one platform that handles the backend complexities, enabling developers to focus solely on the front end and user experience. It simplifies development by offering pre-configured backend services such as authentication, database management operations and cloud storage. This means businesses and individual developers can significantly reduce the overhead of hiring and managing backend/DevOps engineers. Our user-friendly interface and comprehensive documentation make it easy for Devs of all skill levels to get started quickly, without delving into the complexities of backend infrastructure.
01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
The main problem we are trying to solve is the complexity and high cost of backend development and DevOps for developers and businesses in Africa. Many developers lack the expertise or resources to build and manage backend infrastructure efficiently, which slows down innovation, increases costs and consumes time.
01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your startup provides (at least 3).
1/ Frontend driven Data Management of data directly from the front-end with familiar operators for creating, updating , deleting and reading of data. 2/ In-Code Solution After registering on Nobox, every tweaking, configuration and usage happens within one's code. One can create new projects and data collections, clear data collections and update configs from one's code. There's no need to return to one's dashboard unless one insists. 3/ Dynamic Schema Control Every data space created in one's code follows a specific structure ( schema) to protect one's data integrity. Updating this schema can be done on the fly inside one's code and Nobox will adjust to the new structure ASAP without breaking, while adjusting one's CRUD operations and previously generated data to the new schema.
