Our startup, GreenShift Tech, tackles environmental waste and energy poverty by upcycling scrap metals into energy-efficient cookstoves and converting organic waste into clean energy. Our innovative approach reduces greenhouse gas emissions, minimizes landfill waste, and provides affordable energy access to rural and suburban communities. Our products include: Energy-efficient cookstoves made from scrap metals, reducing fuel consumption and emissions. Charcoal briquettes: Organic waste converted into clean energy for cooking, lighting, and heating. Waste-to-Wealth: online Community-based waste management and recycling training programs. The main problem we are trying to solve is the lack of access to clean and affordable energy for cooking in rural and suburban communities, which leads to: 1. Environmental degradation due to waste and pollution. 2. Health issues from indoor air pollution and water contamination. 3. Economic burden from inefficient energy appliances and high cost of other energy sources By addressing these challenges, we aim to improve the overall well-being and quality of life for marginalized communities, while promoting sustainable development and environmental stewardship.
