An Edtech company that connects teachers to schools.

01.01 Describe your startup in more detail

My startup is an Edtech service provider that will help teachers connect to schools that have new job openings. They will be onboard and trained to get them job ready for schools with new job openings. Schools will also be reached out to help them have a place to advertise for their job openings and they can also reach out to us for their requirements. It will enable a win-win situation for all. Those parents who also intend to homeschool their children/wards will also be connected to teachers who are willing and interested in such packages. Our aim is to improve the education sector and make teaching an interesting profession.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

We are trying to solve the problem of lack of teachers/tutors in schools and educational organisations as at when needed. We also aim to bridge the gap between teachers and job openings through a job platform.

01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your startup provides (at least 3).

Firstly, teachers who subscribe to our platform will be the first to get notifications on the latest job openings. Secondly schools will be able to place their job openings for interested individuals on our space. Thirdly, there will be trainings for all who register on the platform. Fourthly, their will be souvenirs for all subscribed participants.

The targeted beneficiaries are teachers in Nigeria, Public and private school owners .

My co founder is also a graduate, about 28 years old and has experience in computer networking and cyber security. She is a graduate of science and has a lot of experience in the tech field.

My strategy supports the no poverty goal because it will help teachers to easily have access to jobs where they will be paid regularly and also have access to other side hustles that can earn an income from. Majority of Nigerian teachers are women. Most parts of Northern Nigeria have almost the same ratio of men to women in the education line. 06.08 Justification for my startup

There are other platforms that provides this service for schools. But my platform is unique in the sense that it will provide opportunities for teachers to browse any job openings they want and schools will have access to posting their job openings. The teachers will be onboarded into the platform and they will be followed up to ensure that they get trainings and packages that will encourage and benefit them thereby making the teaching profession interesting and more profitable.

06.09 Competitive Analysis

My main competitors are the likes of Jobberman, Indeed and other existing job search platforms. They do not focus strictly on teachers and teaching jobs but my platform stands out because it does and moreover, it's coming from someone who has a job experience in the teaching line and has seen what it entails for schools to be in an emergency need of teachers.
