Production of cassava puffy snacks made from a blend of cassava and soybeans

01.01 Describe your startup in more detail

Due to the high cost of wheat and post harvest losses of agricultural produce particularly soyabean. We came up with a new innovative idea by processing cassava into flour and blend it with a protein rich Crop like soyabean in the production of snacks biscuit called cassava puffy snacks. Which is a mixture of cassava flour and soyabean.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

We are solving the problem of overdependence on imported wheat, by creating an alternative product in snacks production, particularly biscuit. Reduction in Post harvest losses of agricultural produce, promotion of our local indigenous food raw materials and products in both National and international markets. This is achieved by using a blend of cassava and soyabean flour in the production of snacks

Our vision and goal is to feed Africans through abundance agricultural and food processing and production, this we have achieved for over 2 years through our innovative idea of processing our indigenous ever consumed cassava and soyabean, into composite flour, processing it into economic and viable product in the form of biscuit for consumption by both young and adults thereby reducing hunger and poverty.
