We, Inky Code, are working on a application that unifies learning in Nigeria and possibly the world over. Creating an online system that help schools run their operations seamlessly and also take advantage of digital tools no matter how big or small.

01.01 Describe your startup in more detail

Inky Code is a software development agency that is totally committed to building softwares that tackle business problems internally and as they interact with customers from outside. The problem that birthed Inky Code was to make the acquisition of software by businesses as quick and easy as possible, eliminating constant errors in applications, and creating a flexible pricing system.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

Many schools are unable to utilize the basic digital tools that is personalized to them due to cost or size of their establishment. Some have great offers but cannot make it know to people because of the limitations or are losing the students they have because they are unable to handle some aspects of their operations digitally for ease. We are making it so that it is available to all and at an affordable rate so cost and size won't be an issue for the schools. We also plan to make it possible to make AI driven tools available to these schools as we develope them in the future to aid learning, create communities so that updates cand advice could be shared. The platform takes into account conventional four walls mode of learning, specialised and online mode of learning

01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your startup provides (at least 3).

Advantages => Visibility of the schools to students and guardians => A completely flexible cost of acquiring our service starting at no fee at all => A community that can help with struggling schools with ideas and solutions, updates etc. Disadvantages => Network coverage. Since the application requires the assessment of our platforms data on the Internet, there is a need for good network coverage. This is not a general problem nevertheless as it may only be applicable to rural areas. Luckily we are having a wider coverage even in non urban areas so this issue is limited. => Lack of digital skills. Some of the schools may not have the know-how on how to utilize these digital tools. To curb this, tutorials will be made possible on our platform or social media outlets to educate them on how to use the tools available.

01.04 Please describe who exactly your startup’s product/service is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?

Schools and Training centers would need this to seamlessly administer their trainings, take records of personnel, organized school activities, run assessment of performance, host online courses and much more. students are getting use to a not digitalized way of doing things, checking results, assess to digitalized system of learning for ease. So this platform provides them that. Guardians have a lot of work to do especially the women, som are working mothers, and if they are able to carry out some of the tasks they do physically in school from just their phone, it would make life a lot easier for them.

Mrs. Grace, is an entrepreneur and a mother akin to the digitalized space. She is a skilled vocationist in tailoring, having run a specialized school in training young females in fashion design. As a business woman and mother she points out the benefits of simplifying the mode of running schooling for her children. Bring able to do things like pays fees, give instructions to school for her kids would literally ease the burden off of her.

Being that our platform is a market in itself, it should help them get to target market easily without stress. As many as take the advantage of this won't be having issues of lack.

The work system as been created to be elf managed, from schools, to teachers, private tutors, sales person. We only manage a few tach personnel who manage the platform remotely.

06.08 Justification for my startup

The product idea was born out of an already existing idea used for Nigerian Federal universities. We decided to improve on the idea for all learning establishments thereby creating a concentrates market and a go to platform for learning.

Strength =>We have a bigger market for this since we are including all learning establishments => The platform has been made to the easy for acquisition by any establishment in terms of cost, ease of use and benefits to their stakeholders => It is highly scalable Weakness => Getting schools in rural area involvement => School system inertia as some schools could be reluctant in getting onboard in the digital space.
