01.01 Describe your startup in more detail
Orrams-homebrewed is a food and beverage company manufacturing ranges food supplements from easily accessible everyday grains transformed into unique recipes to provide the right nutritional requirements required by infants and nursing mothers. We are dedicated to using our natural recipes to fight malnutrition and reduce the rate of deaths in infants from malnutrition.
01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
Nigeria has the second highest burden of stunted children in the world, with a national prevalence rate of 32 percent of children under five. With current economic situations and the changing climate more families are falling deeper into poverty and unable to provide basic meals for their children. An estimated 18 percent of children aged 6-23 months are fed the minimum acceptable diet. Several states in northern Nigeria are the most affected by the two forms of malnutrition – stunting and wasting. About 2 million children in Nigeria suffer from severe acute malnutrition but only two out of every 10 children affected gets access to required treatment. Orrams Homebrewed is using unique recipes to produce affordable food supplement cereals for infants and nursing mothers to reduce malnutrition and help infants develop as expected.

Orrams Homebrewed has unique products with different advantages, Infants growers, brain development etc. On a larger case however, the major benefits of using our products. Our products are targeted at nursing mothers and infants from disadvantaged communities who are facing the challenge of nutritional balance and also individuals who are pro healthy meals from natural resources. We provide unique recipes for different problems at affordable rate to enable mothers from disadvantaged communities benefit.

The core of all we do as a company is to eradicate malnutrition which is caused by hunger . The inability to have what to eat in the first place is a recipe for malnutrition. We sharing knowledge for those who can make it themselves and providing finished products at affordable rates so disadvantaged mothers know they don’t have to break the bank before they eat well or their infants eat healthy meals.

Also eating healthy to attain well being through balance meals is part of our focus.
