Describe your project or startup in a few words
Smart Logistics and Delivery System for Improved Customers Experience
01.01 Describe your startup in more detail
With the population size of about six million with the majority of these persons involving in small and medium businesses, there is usually over half a thousand products moving from Awka to Onitsha alone daily, and many other cities and towns such as Onitsha to Nnewi route, Onitsha to Ekwulobia route, etc. where such services are needed by traders The use of courier motorcycles for small and medium sized products which can rarely be hindered by traffic jam due to the sleek and flexible nature when compared to automobiles. The use of social media handles and direct calls as a means of getting orders will be most proficient when compared to the use of delivery apps and website due to the target audience we would want to reach out to. We also intend partnering with e-commerce business men and women outside the state who would also send their products for deliveries within the state and hence, a storage facility will be provided for such course and a spreadsheet for inventory purposes.
01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
There are just two major problems this project would solve: 1. Creating easy, reliable and fast means of moving products from one place to another where they are needed. 2. A projection of about having 20 to 40 workers by 2028 have been made by us with majority of these working as the courier or delivery agents, this will help relieve young persons who were put off business by the law that was passed on by the government in 2018. Other areas are financial accountant, the customer service representatives, the storekeeper and inventory manager and the motorcycle technicians etc.
01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your startup provides (at least 3).
1. Easy and fast means of getting products to customers doorsteps while maximizing or putting to good use one's time for productive gains, instead of arranging where customers are to meet for product collection 2. Improves brand's image. The professional means of packaging with branded packs will raise the standards in the customers that will be receiving product. 3. Very cost effective. The cost of using delivery services is much cheaper when put side by side using public or private transportation to and from customers locations. 4. Also, provision of storage facilities can help e-commerce business men and women sending products ahead of time to help bring right on time delivery to customers who would need instant delivery and this will further cut down on delays and delivery glitches.
01.04 Please describe who exactly your startup’s product/service is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?
There are two major target audiences which are further categorized into different categories based on what products they sell: 1. The e-commerce agents and these are basically outside Anambra state from what we have already. They are in states like Lagos, Calabar, Port Harcourt, Imo state and sokoto. These sets of individuals are our external customer base because they are not within the state operating their businesses. 2. The internal customer base are those who deal or sell clothing materials in Onitsha, beauty products, office and stationary materials, pharmaceuticals, electronic gadgets, luxury and offices who deal with movement of files.

When jobs are created and the unemployment rate is reduced, it reduces the rate at which evil social vices are implemented in the society by jobless hands, it also further cripples and cuts off the inevitable hunger which persons and families will experience. Furthermore, the business also may not directly contribute immensely to social and community development but does so indirectly by paying taxes to the government who in turn creates means of developing communities by building structures that better the livelihood of the regions and inhabitants of the state.

06.08 Justification for my startup
Anambra state is a very busy commercial state and logistics and delivery services to our own analysis have not been explored. Yes, there are a couple of delivery services in the state but they all put together have not scratched the surface of this part of the business. It is safe to say that it is at its infant stage here in the state and needs a better innovative way of accessing the people and creating a link between businesses and consumers.
06.09 Competitive Analysis
The names of potential logistics that we will be competing with in Anambra state are; 1. Eazi express 2. Jowills logistics 3. Guddel logistics 4. Onyedikachukwu logistics These are the major four that we will be competing with. We stand out on four major areas; 1. Advertising strategy. We don't depend on our already existing customers to tell others about our services. We intend using Facebook ads, fliers, inter state outlet points and one on one meetings with local stores who are potential customers which I have not seen some of them do. 2. Staffing. We do not want to run a one man logistics business, we want to have persons who will be specialized in different areas of the business and this is due to the wide range of persons that we want to reach out to. 3. Proper documentation of deliveries done and proper accounting for future purposes which will better give us a budgeting plan on where exactly to invest in the business. These are barely seen in other logistics here in my locality
11.05 Are you initiating actions within your community to promote the role of female entrepreneurs?
Yes, I have a couple of female university students and some who graduated with me who also come for counsels on how to deal with some hurdles in the small scale business that they are currently doing and I give as much I have experienced and learnt over time with resource materials that they can read and understand better. During my period in serving the nation in a scheme called National Youth Service Corp(NYSC), I also gave a little nudge on female corp members who wanted to develop their soft internet skills and some who are about going for additional progress in their career paths and support them as much ass I can. We also have departments in the business that will be vacant for female employees such as customer service representatives and accounting personnel and inventory manager. These three, are exclusively for females.
