ZerroAI is an advanced AI-powered paraphrasing and plagiarism checking tool designed to enhance academic integrity in Nigeria. While Turnitin remains the standard plagiarism checker globally, it is primarily affordable for institutions, not individuals. ZerroAI provides a cost-effective solution for students and researchers to check for plagiarism before submitting their work to the school for Turnitin checks, giving them the assurance that they are going to pass their test.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

Existing paraphrasing platforms like Grammarly, QuillBot, and PaperOwl require users to pay an average of $44 for premium features, limiting free users to just 1,000 characters at a time. This cost is unaffordable for the average Nigerian student, and we often settle for the slow and time-consuming 1,000 character limitation.

ZerroAI's unique selling proposition is its speed, efficiency, and affordability. It is 5x faster than Grammarly, making it an attractive choice for Nigerian students and researchers. We also make the Plagiarism Checker very afforable for individual use cases and enterprise use cases

01.04 Please describe who exactly your startup’s product/service is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?

The primary target audience for ZerroAI is Nigerian students. Since launching version 1.0 in March 2024, ZerroAI has gained over 15,000 users across top Nigerian institutions, including UNIBEN, UI, UNN, DELSU, NOUN, LASU, and OAU, with the majority being UNIBEN students. Additionally, ZerroAI has acquired over 153 paid users since monetizing three weeks ago. ZerroAI has also had international users from London and California, normally known through IP addresses and sometimes when users message the team about site issues.
