01.01 Describe your startup in more detail

We help hypertensives and diabetics to better manage their overall health by connecting them to primary care physicians and specialists for remote monitoring & scheduled consultations leveraging data that has been clinically proven to help thousands of patients maintain their health. We also connect our users to laboratories and pharmacies close to them, while helping them track their lab results, prescriptions, and medications on our App.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

Chronic illnesses worsen when sufferers fail to follow up. One in every three Nigerian Adult is Hypertensive, and in Africa data has shown that more than 46% of those aged 25years and above have this health condition. It is estimated that 500,000 Africans die yearly from complications of Hypertension. Our solution can reduce the mortality and morbidity from these chronic conditions by atleast 30%.

Our Application enables chronic care patients have quick access to medical care that will be: ▪︎ Advocating personalized routine health check and remote monitoring. ▪︎ A convenient way to save money and receive quality medical care through our e-wallet that enables you to save now and pay later. ▪︎ Safe, with readily available electronic medical record whenever needed.

Our target customer is middle aged hypertensive and or diabetic from Africa with suboptimal vitals in desire for a fast, efficient, and affordable way to better manage their health.

Nzubechukwu Ogamba, he is the COO of MyMedicare is a medical doctor and a very passionate public health enthusiast. He has 6+ years experience in community building across different health platforms. He is the founder of YOHAN Africa[NGO], a platform that engages and empowers thousands of young change makers across Africa. Praise Onuoha is the Product manager. She has more than 5 years of experience in clinical medical and technology. She is a medical doctor as well as a goggle certified HR project manager, with experience in human centered design, user centered design, Artificial intelligence in Healthcare, and health program management.

MyMedicare provides remote consultations to make healthcare more accessible for women who may face barriers to visiting healthcare facilities, such as those in rural areas or with caregiving responsibilities.

Our product provides a fast way for hypertensives & diabetics to easily connect with primary care physicians and specialists. Through our App users’ vitals can be remotely monitored by our doctors who also serve as their accountability partner ensuring compliance to medications and healthy lifestyle. Users' lab results, medications, & prescriptions can easily be tracked for easy follow up.
