Describe your project or startup in a few words

My aim is to become a leading brand in pig feed production. This feed is cost effective and easily accessible by farmers.

01.01 Describe your startup in more detail

We are pig feed producers. And we produce high quality feeds. We undergo researches before we could formulate our feeds and we have sourced for ingredients locally. Because of this our product is cost effective. Farmer do not need to go through strenuous activities of sourcing for ingredients by themselves. They will relax in their farms make orders and they have these products delivered to them. Because of the locally sourced ingredients, we also help to reduce to environment polution.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

I am a farmer. I am into poultry, fishery and piggery. All are good ventures but I picked piggery over orders because it's demand. So before I started feed production full time, we used to move to different locations to buy ingredients for our pig. We can PKC in Onitsha, get soya cake in Nnobi, get springly in Awo and these not conveniently gotten because sometimes they are scarce so I said what if I source for these ingredients in large quantity and store they don't spoil anyway. By then I didn't have in mind to start selling to farmers I wanted to just store and feed my pigs. But something happened that made me think of commercializing these. There was a particular ingredient called soya cake. Soya cake forms the major protein content of pig feeds. There came a time that soya cake became so cost and scarce and the price thrilled for anyone manage to see. So I said what what if I find alternative for this. That was when I go took poultey waste, yam peels, cassava peels, etc to lab.

01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your startup provides (at least 3).

Farmers now have feeds readily available in their farms without stress. ,Farmers also pay lesser because we got most our raw materials free of charge. Farmers have same quality of feed as the one they source for themselves. Our feed is blended with organic herbs which the animals to grow rapidly.

01.04 Please describe who exactly your startup’s product/service is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?

Our target are farmers for now. We supply directly to farmers and we have sold over 100 bags from January this year.

I am the CEO by name Okechukwu Chrysatus Odulukwe a seasoned farmer with other 5 years experience. Then Blessed ADANNAYA is a food nutritionist which is in calharge of researches.

We current have 3 staff and we aim to to employ more people, of course they won't work for free, we pay them. We generate profit, our customers buy our products use to feed their pigs when their animals mature they sell them and make profit and it's "No poverty" for all of us at the end.

Pork has edged other meats because its easier and cheap to rear them within a short time than beef and other animal. Most joints and restaurants use it pepper soup. Even though we don't rear them directly, we provide feeds that make them grow within a short period of time

We support good health because we undergo researches and keep researching on our products. Our product is not for human consumption but it's used to feed pig that are consumable.

We are not into manufacturing new products entirely but we improve what is already there though the use to researches.

Yes. I cofounder this with a female and I aim to have 60 percent of my staff to be females. My reasons is that I have come to realize that women need more attention than men.
