This is an Agritech startup which aims at solving food insecurity in Africa starting with Namibia. This is be done by connecting 3 sectors (Producers, Market & Education) in one platform (The app AfriAgriFed) to boost food production.

01.01 Describe your startup in more detail

Through this one platform (Afriagrifed App) three main factors affecting food security (Producers, market, and education) are brought together to ensure that they connect significantly to boost food production. This is done by: 1.1. We ensure that producers get into easy connection with the market, and they get to know the demand from market that they produce more. We also ensure that there is connection between producers and education, where producers are educated on challenges and problems, they face leading to efficient production of food. 2. 2. We ensure that the market knows the availability of products and they create awareness to the producers on the demand in the market. This will also help the market to ensure that it satisfies the demand by requesting for more from producers. 3.3. Ensure that education solves problems on the ground faced by producers very fast and effectively to help them become efficient in production of food.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

Africa is faced with food insecurity. The reason being that the main 3 sectors boosting food production are separated and there is no connectivity due to the fact that there is no Single platform providing that space for them to come together.

1. Huge cut in expenses with sales linkages on the App. 2. Very interactive wide market which means very fast sales. 3. Proper education on farming. 4. Effective problem solving for market and producers. 5. Good access to reliable agricultural information and statistics to help make decisions easily. 6. access to reliable data, reliable Agricultural information and statistics.

01.04 Please describe who exactly your startup’s product/service is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?

he target market is members from the 3 sectors, This includes farmers, entrepreneurs, retailer, factories, vendors, educational institutions and any consumer. The marketing plan is to roll the app for 4 years in Namibia, 4 years in SADC and 4 years across Africa.

Efraim Shimbali, a Civil Engineer, missionary about making a positive impact on the lives of people through engineering skills. Born with leadership passion hence a YALI Alumni and writing a leadership book titled “I woke upon African Leadership”. I am a partnership and projects Manager at United Youth Charity Association towards impacting the community. My life objectives are making a significant positive impact on the lives of people and contributing to the development of Africa. I have more than 4 years’ experience in the engineering industry. I have gained extensive knowledge in project management.

06.02 - This is a newly developed product, and it is first of a kind in African to connect 3 sectors that boost food production in one platform. 06.03 -This startup ensures that we bring technology at the doorsteps of Africa's old way of Agriculture to transform it into a more interactive agricultural solution that takes technology as the first step. 06.05 - We ensure that we acknowledge where the other form of agricultural technological means of farming have ended, we build on it with the newer solutions of AI. 06.06 - We ensure that the demand of food in African is well sorted by boosting food production in a simpler way which could not be satisfied by other services.
