01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
Globally, 258 million children and youth are out of school, with Africa facing significant educational inequalities. In Namibia’s vast landscapes, our project addresses a critical issue: the lack of resources contributing to social inequality. With 80% of children from impoverished backgrounds, public education is often their only option. Our mission is to ensure no child is excluded due to economic status. According to the Namibia Teachers Union in 2023, administrative tasks consume 80% of teachers’ time, impeding educational efficiency. In the 2022–2023 NSSCO final exams, only 13% of the 38,000 Namibian learners succeeded, and this year 75% of students are missing higher education opportunities due to academic underachievement. Despite students being tech-savvy, schools lack the necessary tools to integrate technology into education. Our intervention aims to significantly impact around 10,000,000 students and 300,000 teachers in Namibia and Africa at large.
