My project is about fish farming which is to promote a good health, economic growth in Malawi

My start up is fish farming, which I started for profit, currently I have one pond in which I stocked 2000 fish, commonly known as Chambo in Malawi

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

Reduce overfishing as fish from lakes and rivers are seasonal. Promote good health as fish have important nutrients to the human body. Meet the demand of fish on the market that is there due to high population in Malawi. Make fish available and affordable to the rural areas of my community.

01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your startup provides (at least 3).

Reducing overfishing as farmers will help make fish available to the people of Malawi Source of food to Malawians. Help improve the economy of Malawi as money is involved.

The start up is to encourage other youth to join the business as in the future will be training others to join the fish farming which will have create indipendent lives and end poverty in our nation.

Fish is good and very important in the human body of the person as it contains important nutrients which gives a person a good health. Here in Malawi is used as relish and can be eaten with any starch hence contributing to zero hunger

06.08 Justification for my startup

The good thing about farmed fish is they grow faster and bigger in a short period of time, we can say is a way of improving fish available on the market as the fish are being fed with feed

The competitors are others farmers, Lake harvest, Boss fisheries, though there are competitors my goal is to become bigger than them but the demand for fish is always high so the market is huge

Yes, I am the only female fish farmer in the community I leave so that is empowering other female young entrepreneurs.
