WANANGWA MINIMALL PROJECT is a project were I would like to expand my groceries shop into a more complex Mall. This will in turn help boost my service delivery and my shop will now became a large brand for purchasing different commodities across Malawi.

01.01 Describe your startup in more detail

WANANGWA MINIMALL PROJECT is a startup project aimed at providing a retail shopping service in my local community. This startup project idea is typically based on ensuring the availability of different commodities which are to be purchased locally in my community through the proposed shopping Mall. This will in turn help mitigate transportation cost issues people in my community face due to the long distances they travel in order to purchase different commodities and groceries. This startup project will hence provide a shopping service not away from home for people in my community. Through this startup project idea, I will be able to open up a mini-mall, employ my fellow youths in my community and make various resources available for purchase in my local community.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

The main problem I am trying to solve is the unavailability of a shopping centre in my local community. People in my community travel long distances to near by trading centres only to get hold of shopping Mall services. The only proposed solution to this problem is the availability of a local shopping Mall in our community. Through this startup project, I would also be able to tackle the problem of unemployment in my community since opening up a mini-mall would definitely be a good source of employment for my fellow youths in my community.

01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your startup provides (at least 3).

The major benefits of my startup is the provision of retail shopping service in a community where there isn't one of such. And also another benefit is the provision of employment to youths in my community. The other benefit is the civilization of my local community since such a project will urban resources available in my area.

My targeted beneficiaries for my startup's product/service are the people in my local community. These are the people whom I am proposing the project for since they will be the ones who will be purchasing the products from the Mall and some of them will also be employees of the same

06.08 Justification for my startup

My startup already has a lot of customers in use of it's products and this means I would be starting at a step further apart. The products which I will be trading are of great demand since most of these products are basic utilities and hence are therefore a must for people in my community to purchase.

My main potential competitors are my fellow entrepreneurs own some small scale shops. And what makes me stand out from them is the idea of opening up a shopping Mall which would be of competitive advantage due to the various ranges of goods and services to be offered as compared to a small scale shop
