Zyewo Stationery provides stationery and technological services in one of the remotest areas in Machinga North Malawi. It's services help a population of about 20 square kilometres. Among it's major clients are education institutions within this area.

01.01 Describe your startup in more detail

My business, Zyewo Stationery, provides printing, photocopying, typing, internet, scanning and other stationery materials to a population of over 5000 people who are spread in different villages in this area.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

Internet and stationery problem is my start up is trying to solve. People of this area used to travel a distance of over 30 kilometers to access stationery services at the nearest stationery stop at Nselema. With only one public minibus travelling this area, which leaves at 4am and returns around 5 pm, people were focused to use a bicycle just to photocopy or print just a single document. Schools also had to travel procure their stationery resources from as far as Liwonde which is about 70 kilometers away. The schools still do because my startup is still small

People are getting stationery and internet services at their fingertip. People no longer travel long distances to get these services. Schools and hospitals also benefit from some small services offered.
