My project focuses on improving transportation accessibility and efficiency across diverse urban and rural landscape in Malawi and addressing unique challenges and opportunities in local context.

01.01 Describe your startup in more detail

Being an owner of three(3) mobile taxies, the taxi industry in my area right after covid19 became more of in need to the public and I came up with an idea to fill up the sector to at least ease the movement of goods and people. therefore this involves implementing technology solutions to enhance the efficiency, accessibility and reliability to the taxi sector in Lilongwe, Malawi and national. In the project this includes developing mobile application for both passenger and drivers to facilitate seamless booking, tracking and payment processes. Furthermore the initiative may be undertaken to improve the overall quality of service, such as driver training program and vehicle maintenance standards hence the ultimate goal is to attain a convenient, safe, and sustainable transportation options for users and contributing to the economic development of the communities served.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

One of the major problem is the movement of people from one area to another without wasting much of the time. therefore the problem is to solve the congestion and inefficiency . this includes addressing traffic jams, optimizing public transport system and reducing commute times. on a daily basis goods are transported in the early hours , goods such as ( tomatoes, vegetables, fish & potatoes and so on) this are things that needs shipment from farmers to consumers or from wholesale to retail hence this goods needs business owners to travel from point A to Point B to meet and manage the time frame in the markets. similar to people going to works places or business places.

01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your startup provides (at least 3).

A slight change in the movement of goods that are daily consumable foods such as all variety of vegetables and fish tend to benefit a certain percentage in market and time management since consumers visit local markets to buy such goods daily.

The main target in this sector includes commuters, travelers, businesses involved in logistical and supply chain such as foods and other goods that a certain person my need.

Malawi strongly depends on agriculture mostly people in rural areas, the movement of goods at a cheaper rate despite economic challenges helps the farmer/growers to meet the daily needs by moving goods to consumers at a friendly rate charge. therefore the transportation sector in my way can end not soon but gradually the hardship of earning a certain profit to the low income earners.

I strongly for hunger to end, but the my prospective hunger cannot completely end but it can be reduced to a certain percentage for instance in the transport sector in countries that are low developed or developing countries movement of goods especially consumable foods like vegetable , fish or/and beef are needed from farmers to consumers, the question how?. Well farmers grow there produce for them to earn incomes and also for there benefit , for example a farmers grows tobacco and the tobacco will need to move from the rural part to where it will be sold such as auctions. thereafter the transport cost will be added on the tobacco to reach its final destination , when all is proceed the farmers earns the income from what was produced simply by how the produced moved from one location to another therefore the farmer will have certain things to help his home similar on how the produce was shipped. Hence the transport sector plays a role in transforming livelihoods.

Better transportation in the environment plays a crucial role in transporting people hence also in the change of the global market from fusel fuel to eco friendly EV vehicle that wont release carbon dioxide and harm the environment and the health of the human being hence changing from fuel to eco friendly machinery.

The world is changing fast and the achieve the goal to global worming is an important role to have a sustainable cities. the use of fuel is releasing emission and it harms the environment and the people surrounded. therefore the use and change to electrifying transportation which is electric vehicles (EVs) for public transit and private cars reduce air pollution and dependence on fossil fuels. Governments can support the adoption of EVs through incentives such as tax credit and charging infrastructure investment.

In the taxi sector or transportation industry we are alot and knowing how to interact and have fair pricing slightly have a competition on the market but communication is a vital key to the business. Larger operators such as vans and busses play the role.
