Property Exchange Kenya aims to create a comprehensive platform to streamline property transfers. Often, properties remain on the market for extended periods because they don't reach the right audience. Our platform addresses this by positioning itself as the premier exchange hub for property transactions. Users can post ads to buy or sell property, with several checks in place to ensure credibility and trust. Key features include: User Verification: Displaying detailed information about buyers and sellers, such as names, registration status as estate agents, and transaction history. Transaction History: Recording the number of successfully completed property transfers. Rating System: Allowing users to rate each other based on past transactions, with a clear display of positive vs. negative ratings. These features empower users to make informed decisions about whom to transact with, enhancing transparency and trust. The platform will be provide both an app and a website.
01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
The problem my project aims to solve is the prolonged time required to sell properties. Properties often remain on the market for extended periods without finding buyers. To address this, my project envisions creating Property Exchange Kenya, a platform designed to become the premier destination for property transactions. By promoting peer-to-peer transactions, the platform will cultivate an active online community of buyers and sellers. With a growing user base, participating in the property market will be as simple as pressing a button. Sellers will list a variety of properties, offering diverse options for buyers. This extensive selection allows buyers to find properties that meet their specific needs and preferences. The platform's efficient matching of buyer and seller needs will significantly reduce the time required to buy or sell property, streamlining the transaction process and ensuring quicker, more successful deals.

One of the partners is Brian Njogu. Brian is an experienced software engineer with over 4 years experience in development. He will be the mind behind the application and website. The second guy is Ian. Ian is a practitioner in real estate. He graduated from the University of Nairobi with a bachelor of Real Estate in 2023. He is currently practising as a valuer at Gimco Limited. Ian also has some experience in IT and will be helping Brian to develop and carry out the work. The third is Faith Muthoni, a real estate student at the University of Nairobi who is passionate about estate agency.
