My project involves use of river Katitha in production since it's a small irrigation project that aims to increase food production in the stated area,

01.01 Describe your project in more detail

This project is basically to increase food production and to ensure that people around Marimanti get adequate food since there have been shortage of food due to inadequate rain, River Katitha is a permanent river that is suitable to use in irrigation so as to ensure continuous supply of the vegetables and other produced cerials. People around Marimanti travel long distance to get vegetables and cereals which results to high selling price, this results to high selling price of the goods hence some may not be able to acquire them. Since others may not be able to acquire it force's them not to eat which affect the concentration of students in school kindly support my project so that we can change lives.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

Food shortage using unsed land by use of irrigation to ensure there is enough food around the region

01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your project intends to provide (at least 3).

1. Vegetables are rich source of folate which is important for children's health and may also reduce the risk of cancer and depression. 2. Vegetables contain vitamin B which helps our body to make new red blood cells 3. Tomatoes aid immune function, tomato juice is source of vitamin C and beta-carotene, antioxidants that help support immune system.

01.04 Please describe who exactly your project is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?

This project aims to serve both children and adults around the area taking place. Schools around the place will be supplied with the produced goods thus helping them to minimize loses and risks of transporting some fragile goods like tomatoes. Families around the place, since they will be able able to get the food at affordable price

This project is unique because there's nobody else producing the product in that location hence fits in that location kindly give me this support

05.09 Who are your main potential competitors and what makes you stand out from them?

They are farmers from bordering counties- Selling of fresh produce to customer will automatically be an advantage to me, secondly customer interaction will highly help me since they have not to place orders hence they can easily give their views concerning the product, thirdly availability of product which is close to them makes them to have great expectations on the commodities and already they have knowledge concerning it.
