Describe your project or startup in a few words

It's a rabbit rearing business, where rabbits will be kept for sale to other farmers, sold for meat and it's skin will be turned for garments making. Also it's urine will be sold for organic farming thus helping fight diseases and climatic change

01.01 Describe your project in more detail

In DC&p rabbit farm, we will be keeping rabbits mostly for commercial purposes and due to the rabbits small gestation period, multiply effect is huge. These rabbits will be sold to big and small restaurants and also the company will have its own retail shops in major towns in Kenya. Once we penetrate that market which is easy depending on our strategies, we will also be selling rabbits to other willing farmers who in return will sell to us once they attain selling weight. Once these farmers start producing enough rabbits to serve the demand we will now start producing feeds this time not for our own consumption but to sell to farmers who in return sell rabbits to us. If the number of farmers grow we will start a cooperative/sacco which in return will help educate people on financial literacy and need for saving and also as creation of jobs. Also garment making industry will be born utilising on rabbit hides and enhancement of agriculture where organic farming is aided by rabbit urine

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

Am trying to solve the unemployment chrisis which is very rampant in Kenya and with this economic model of rabbits realing which can create many industries and employ many youths. Also we will bring positive effects to climate because organic farming will be aided by rabbit urine

Jobs creation Our economic model can bring birth to many sectors thus creating jobs for many youths languishing in poverty and abusing drugs leading to mental issues. Our project can help reduce most of the vices youths gets into only due to lack of unemployment

The project beneficiaries are farmers/youths who will embrace rabbit farming. Basically this venture can be done by anybody so we can say all people in the society can benefit from our project

One is my mother who I first give the idea and she was willing to help by taking care of the rabbits She's a peasant farmer in the village. Another one is my girlfriend who after sharing the idea she was happy because we could create a business or rather we could employ ourselves and even others. She's a graduate without a job

In Kenya particularly in rural areas improved nutrition is limited to access to good food and in this case good white meat. So if the project can reach its optimal many people in rurals could be getting a balanced food therefore helping curb the food chrisis
