01.01 Describe your project in more detail

Olive Rugby was established in 2022 as an initiative A Driving Force for Good to promote, support and drive positive change through play-based empowerment for under-represented youths, enriching lives and transforming our community. Olive Rugby promotes environmental sustainability by implementing eco-friendly practices and raising awareness about environmental issues and inspire athletes and fans to adopt more sustainable lifestyles, we donate tree seedlings and participate in tree planting exercises in our communities. The initiative "Rugby for Good" fosters social cohesion, promoting teamwork, and enhancing interpersonal skills.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

Olive Rugby promotes environmental sustainability by implementing eco-friendly practices and raising awareness about environmental issues and inspire athletes and fans to adopt more sustainable lifestyles, we do monthly street feeding, offer free life skill classes, we donate tree seedlings participate in tree planting exercises in our communities. The initiative "Rugby for Good" fosters social cohesion, promoting teamwork, and enhancing interpersonal skills.

Partnerships for the Goals: The SDGs can only be realized with strong global partnerships and cooperation. The Club is striving to realize this goal through local partnership and collaboration. We promote Gender Equality: We strive to achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls who form part of the Olive Rugby Family with an intention to create the women team. Reducing Inequalities: We strive to reduce inequality within and among the Olive Rugby Family which in return impacts countries’ relationships. A core value of the club is inclusiveness, which is a core tenant of our Community Programming

Youths and the Community at large: Olive Rugby was established in 2022 as an initiative “A driving Force for Good” that promotes and supports the sport of rugby for youths in Kenya. The Club drives positive change through play-based “Rugby for Good” empowerment for under-represented youths and young persons, enriching lives and transforming our community.

Olive Rugby Football Club has zero-tolerance for discrimination of any type, including any activities of hate, hate-speech, prejudice, bigotry, sexism, racism, gender discrimination, ageism, ableism, classism, misogyny, xenophobia, inequity, intolerance or anti-Semitism. Any member participating in discrimination will be removed as a member of the club and will not be permitted to attend any club events, including practices, socials, and matches, We strive to achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls who form part of the Olive Rugby Family with an intention to create the women team.

Self Help Groups, Community Based Organizations, Faith Based Organizations, I stand out because I'm guided by the SDGs Goals and impact directly on the community and services given to the communities can be measured and evaluated.

10.06 Are you initiating actions within your community to promote the role of female entrepreneurs?

We strive to achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls who form part of the Olive Rugby Family with an intention to create the Women National Chapter.
