Getbyfarm is committed to empowering through providing one stop shop for cafes, hotels, restaurants, catering services, and event planners with a convenient, efficient, and transparent solution for sourcing high-quality food products from trusted suppliers across the country. Getbyfarm project provides a centralized platform where buyers can access a diverse range of food products, compare prices, place orders, and manage deliveries seamlessly. By leveraging technology, data-driven insights, and strategic partnerships with suppliers, our platform streamlines the procurement process, enhances product visibility, and fosters collaboration between buyers and suppliers, reducing cost and saving time.
01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
The hospitality industry in Kenya faces significant challenges in sourcing and managing food supplies efficiently. Fragmented supply chains with business relying for multiple suppliers for their diverse food requirements, manual procurement processes as many businesses still rely on this process such as phone calls, paper based order form to place order with suppliers, limited product visibility hamper their ability to discover new ingredients and inefficient communication channels hinder businesses' ability to streamline operations, control costs, and deliver exceptional dining experiences to their customers.

Simplifies the process of sourcing food items by providing a centralized platform for browsing, ordering, and managing purchases from multiple suppliers. Saves time and effort for hospitality businesses by eliminating the need for manual procurement tasks such as contacting suppliers individually, negotiating prices, and processing orders. our target beneficiaries is cafes, hotels, restaurants, catering services, event planners ,schools, hospitals, government institutions, and other organizations that require large quantities of food products for institutional catering and feeding programs and every business in the hospitality industry seeking to procure food products in bulk at competitive prices.

I have a background in Information Technology. I've had the opportunity to put my education into practice over the past year as a Web designer. In this role, I've been responsible for designing and maintaining web pages, providing technical IT support to staff, and various projects for social media marketing. Through this experience, I've honed my skills in areas such as network administration, website design and maintenance, entrepreneurship graphic design and systems troubleshooting. I'm deeply passionate about technology and thrive on the constant learning and problem-solving it entails. Looking ahead, I'm excited to continue growing in my career, perhaps by pursuing further certifications in product development, and ultimately contributing to innovative solutions

There are several existing wholesale platforms in Kenya catering to the food industry. These platforms vary in terms of the range of products offered, delivery options, and customer service. Traditional supply chains still dominate the wholesale food market in Kenya, with many businesses relying on physical markets and direct supplier relationships

Twiga Foods,Tawi and offline wholesalers and markets We stand out through offering a diverse range of products including fresh produce, packaged goods, seafoods, and packaging. Having a wide variety ensures that our customers can find everything they need in one place, saving them time and effort. Negotiate competitive prices with suppliers and offer discounts for bulk orders. Price transparency and affordability are key factors that attract and retain customers in the wholesale business. Develop an intuitive and easy-to-use online platform or mobile app for ordering. Ensure that the ordering process is seamless, with features like quick search, easy navigation, and secure payment options.
