Pamoja Green Kenya is all about reclaiming our environment by using the available resources to benefit the people. Planting trees is easy and does not require a specific location or skill and with the right investment can be done globally. Plant trees.

01.01 Describe your project in more detail

The average cost of a tree seedling is 10 shillings and an average tree will take 3-5 years to positively impact an ecosystem. My project will take advantage of the available hands we have in schools through the students and pupils in highschools and primary respectively. All we have to do is teach our younger generation how to plant trees and nurture them through their early stages. As youths we have the time and schools have the space to plant trees. My project has room for external collaborations with the government and ministries to promote and provide tree planting locations. Together, we can provide the labour and the locations to positively impact our environment. I am happy about this competition because when I win, I will be able to fund my project across the country. Positively, I know that when people see the changed and the effort I am putting into this project they will be able to come in and make this bigger and better.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

Pamoja Green Kenya addresses environmental issues that are as a result of our neglect and ignorance in matters regarding environmental conservation. Pamoja Green Kenya aims at impacting the younger generation and involving them in the environmental conservation discussion at an early age. So that as youth we realise early our roles in maintaining and improving the conditions of our forests, rivers and surroundings because we are well educated and aware on the consequences of not being accountable for our actions. I am personally solving my mistake in the past by giving back to the society. we need clean air and I am willing to go the extra mile to make it a reality.

01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your project intends to provide (at least 3).

The major benefits of planting trees are:- A healthy community - This is because of the reduction in respiratory diseases, and abdominal illness from consuming contaminated food. A greener and cleaner environment - A clean environment is soothing to the mind and calms the heart. being around controlled environments will give Kenyans a chance to enjoy the serenity and tranquility of parks and environmental reserves. An aware public - Pamoja Green Kenya aims at educating the youth and involving them in the environmental conservation processes. This will leave them with skills and experiences in tree planting and environmental conservation. A reduction in the carbon emission in our atmosphere - It is not a secret anymore that our atmosphere is greatly influencing our climate. The rising tempretures and the changes in climate has led to unexpected floods in the East Africa regions and some parts of Asia. Engaging in tree planting exercises is one of the ways to reduce the pollution.

The people living with respiratory disease The next generation and our future grand children My friends, family, countrymen and fellow human beings I am also doing this for myself. It has been a long term plan of mine.
