A graphic design and printing shop, mainly to deal with printing to provide high quality printing services for businesses and individuals.

01.01 Describe your project in more detail

Having worked in a printing firm, I believe I've gained enough experience to operate and run my own shop. My project entails giving printing services to people at affordable rates and also giving them access to online services through cyber services which will all be available at the shop. My project includes having all printing machinery at my disposal so as to provide all services in the minimal time possible with high quality services. I'll be providing a wide range of services from graphic designing, printing and also branding services. I'm hoping to have a one stop shop for all printing services and even more.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

Through my project I believe that I'll help reduce unemployment in the targeted area through giving jobs. I also plan on having my business located in the towns within the rurals so as to provide services to people who are not able to travel to look for the services I plan to provide. To also help in the growth of the rural places I believe that the printing shop will also make other investors interested in opening up their businesses in the region thus having more businesses in the area means having more people employed and helping in unemployment and growth of a business area. Lastly, coming from a family with low income, the shop will help me support my parent with upbringing our family and also helping the vulnerable in the society including school children through helping with school fees and also the elderly through providing necessary needs.

Printing services is a beneficial venture that supports business growth and community engagement through creating job opportunities. Through providing branding services this helps in marketing of businesses thus having growth in the targeted area of business. High quality printed materials help in effective marketing and communication. This also helps businesses to enhance their brand visibility. Printing also supports the growth of other organizations in the community.

01.04 Please describe who exactly your project is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?

Being in the rural area this means I will be able to provide printing services even to the schools which had difficulty in accessing available printed education materials which help in supporting teaching and learning processes. Printed materials are also essential in distribution of information quickly to the community from newsletters to event programs. The firm will also help in giving back to the society through waste reduction, on demand printing helps reduce waste compared to mass produced printed materials.

Having worked in a printing firm before, my partner has skills necessary to handle printing machinery therefore providing services to clients. She also has customer engagement skills thus making client handling easier and providing high quality services. She can manage accounts proficiently and she is trusted enough to keep the business running when the other partner is not around.

05.08 Justification

In my printing firm I'm planning to adopt the latest printing technologies such as digital printing, 3D printing and eco friendly inks. This will lead to innovations across various sectors.

05.09 Who are your main potential competitors and what makes you stand out from them?

My main potential competitors are big printing firms but the fact that I will be closer to the local community means that I will have more impact on them hence having more services to them and through that I will stand out in the business. Providing the best printing services will also help in the growth process.
