Describe your project or startup in a few words

This project is about bee keeping. My father and I have been dreaming of opening this business as it will promote local farmers. It is also a sustainable agricultural project that focuses on producing the best product at a fair price.

This is a bee keeping project that focuses on producing legit products to our consumers while creating more opportunities for our farmers.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

The main problem that will be solved is authentication. Most people nowadays consume products that bring harm to their health rather than benefits.

Honey has a lot of health benefits, especially if you are consuming the right products. It can be used as an antioxidant, and much more consumable with people suffering from diabetes. Honey helps in increasing memory loss and reducing anxiety as well as managing cholesterol.

01.04 Please describe who exactly your project is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?

My target beneficiaries are everyone who can obtain this product. It does not exclude people of any kind. I believe that health is a basic necessity that should not be taken for granted.

My other partner is my father. He was born in Tanzania but currently living in Kenya. Since his childhood, he has grown up with a community of bee keepers in the Mount Kilimanjaro forest near Marangu. He has gained skills on the types of hives to be placed and on which trees that produce the best flowers for nectar.

Honey is a good source of nutrients that help in body repair and giving strength. With our sales, we intend to give back to the society by providing feeding programmes for the less fortunate and also empowering them to stand on their feet.

Most people are now venturing into their well being. With this product, it can help them achieve their health targets. This is a product that has been there in the market yet it has been commercialized and not consumable anymore. The project aims at changing this and putting humanity first.

05.09 Who are your main potential competitors and what makes you stand out from them?

There are other local producers of honey yet I tend to believe that no one is willing to put so much effort to ensure that their products supports the wellbeing of their consumers. This is an advantage as it will not only make our products have high sales but also monitor our consumers wellbeing indirectly.
