Wifi city is a project that aims to connect the community in rural areas. We intend to be the cheapest online players with only KSH 20 (twenty kenyan shillings only) our aim is to create an online culture and promote entrepreurship

01.01 Describe your project in more detail

Wifi city is a project aimed at providing internet services to rural kenya. With the introduction of starlink network by Elon musk. Wifi city seeks to leverage this technology by connecting rural areas with affordable internet. We intent to sell the wifi at a cost of ksh 30 per day. This will give our subscribers an unlimited connection to the internet for a day. The current network providers offer expensive network and their connectivity to rural kenyan areas is poor. This project aims at targeting the youth who do online business which is on the rise globally. We believe that with this model we will be able to connect the whole of kenya with affordable wifi. The concept is buy internet from starlink. Their cheapest being ksh 6000.(six thousand shillings?) if wifi city is able to resell the same at ksh 20.with a minimum of 200 connections a day this translates to ksh 120000(one hundred and twenty thousands a month

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

The main problem wifi city is trying to solve is connecting rural kenya to the internet thus creating online job opportunities to youths. With the current rate of unemployment and increased costs of living, many kenyan youths find themselves jobless. Wifi city is seeking to reduce the rate of unemployment through connecting and training the youth on online business opportunities

1.It is cheap and affordable . With only KSH 20 a day you get unlimited wifi access for 24 hours 2.it helps in reducing unemployment. Connecting as many people to the internet as possible and training the youth on online opportunities. Thus reducing unemployment 3.linking rural areas to the world. With internet connection it basically means you can have opportunities anywhere in the world

The target beneficiaries are the youth and anyone who owns a smart phone. You will only require a smart phone to connect to our wifi

The first partner is an I. T expert with vast knowledge on I. T. He is crucial to our project as he will be incharge of connections and making sure that we reach as many people as possible The second person is an administrator and a marketer. She will be incharge of marketing our principles and services.

Wifi city product idea is unique as it connects communities that have no access to the internet its is als unique because is seeks to create employment in the most remote areas

05.09 Who are your main potential competitors and what makes you stand out from them?

Network providers, like safaricom, Airtel. What makes wifi city stand out is the pricing and using setelite networks. This requires less infrastructure and cheaper connectivity
