It is a power management device operated through an app for managing power for homeowners. It also has smart home automation capabilities, optimized feedback on best practices to save on energy consumption with real-time and specified periodic reports.

01.01 Describe your project in more detail

Our product is built on the principle of saving on costs in the long run and offering up additional smart home automation features that complement our main value proposition. The device works like a smart home panel desinged to integrate with the electrical circuit of a home together with our mobile app that can be used to operate it and other detailed features such as integrating with multiple forms of power sources in a home like solar and help homeowners in be able to effectively use multiple forms of power to effectively save on costs relative to power usage, smart home automation features like lighting control, switching electrical machines one and off, getting real-time feedback for optimizing electrical usage and timely reports for homeowners based on personalized home data on electrical usage. We are introducing a new innovative product in the Kenyan market that is relatively new and we already have a working prototype for testing.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

Our Business is built upon the need for consumers in Africa to have a multitude of options to save on costs as much as possible and our business hopes to achieve that need for the home through the application of power management for the home. We also want to use this opportunity to add features of smart home applications as a complimentary service to our value proposition of helping consumers manage power. Homeowners also get real-time updates on any potential issues with electrical outlets, overusage of electrical machines, issues with circuit breakers, and potential weak electrical lines in the home through the app or via SMS.

01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your project intends to provide (at least 3).

1. Our device is meant to help homeowners know how they are managing the electricity in their homes. The device acts as a smart panel that is connected to the electric lines to determine how much power is being consumed at any point in time. 2. Our app is also customized to offer feedback through the day-to-day data collected from homeowners. The feedback is meant to offer proposals and solutions on how best to manage their electricity including time periodic reports. 3. The device will be integrated to manage different forms of electricity such as solar and electricity. It acts as a smart panel that ideally switches between solar and the main grid for homeowners who have multiple forms of electricity. 4. Our system also integrates home automation features in collaboration with our main power management feature. Features such as lighting control and smart plugs.

Right now, we are only 3 to one regarding gender equality. We plan to promote a gender-equal workplace which is a personal goal of our C.E.O. We want to establish a healthy workplace to promote a strong work culture for everyone who wants to be associated with our future company, male or female as long as they fit the standards of our organizational culture.

Our vision is to give Africans the ability to manage their costs effectively both in the short and the long term through energy management in their homes. We always try to do everything possible to limit how much we spend in our lives and a big part of our life expenses are electricity and energy bills. We realized that Africans want ways to know how they can effectively manage their electricity and as a bonus, add more features to enhance the experience. We do this through smart home automation features, multiple energy management features through our mobile app, and dedicated optimized feedback relaid to clients through time-specified reports with detailed solutions on how best to manage their electricity usage weekly, monthly or annually.

Its unique and innovative by combining multiple functions into one awesome home energy management system. Our device connects to your home, measures out your electrical usage from every aspect of your home both inside and outside, it's paired with smart home automation features as an additional bonus, and we also integrate everything into a mobile app. There you can get updates from us on optimized solutions on how best a homeowner can maximize energy cost-savings, get reports on how they have been using their electricity, and if a homeowner has multiple forms of electricity such as solar, we can integrate into the app to help navigate between the two sources.

05.09 Who are your main potential competitors and what makes you stand out from them?

Schneider Electric Kenya. Our prototype is built differently. We are essentially a smart panel that runs a powerful mobile app that does data analysis and feedback that we collect from each household to offer the best recommendations on how best they can save on electrical usage in the long term and provide additional features that boost the overall experience. They have products that are spread out across different categories but not integrated into one system like ours will be. They also have a smart panel but theirs isn't integrated to fit Kenyan homes as per our research more its meant for industrial usage such as large facilities and buildings.
