Morgan's crafts is a project that aims to reduce fabric wastes by utilizing the off cuts of fabric from local tailors to creat beautiful African(kitenge) throw blankets , quilts and cushion covers .

01.01 Describe your project in more detail

After doing a survey on the amount of fabric waste that our local tailors peoduce in the process of making their projects a solution to reduce the discarded fabric and give it a new use . As a country we generate close to 300,000 tons of fabric and cotton waste per year , finding ways to help reduce that number even so slightly is good for our environment. We aim to collect the discarded pieces of fabric from local tailors after they cut out their patterns and turn them into beautiful African printed(kitenge) throw blankets, quilts, cushion covers and duvet covers.

My partner is a hard working young entrepreneur who will be handling the business side of our project, the marketing and the sourcing of other materials and them being avid photographers manage our social media platforms
