Describe your project or startup in a few words
As a result of championing for SRHR in Homabay County early this year, it was evident that Homabay County, especially the lake regions have an issue dubbed 'sex for omena' hence the literacy program to engage the youths and the kids in the area.

This project proposal aims to promote literacy empowerment by targeting early childhood & adolescents reading & ICT skills in Homabay County. The goal is to create a strong foundation for literacy development among young children and adolescents, ensuring they have the necessary skills and support to become proficient readers in the future. By focusing on early childhood and adolescent education in Homabay County, where there’s no single presence of library or reading corners, we can address literacy gaps at an early stage, leading to long-term positive outcomes for individuals and communities.
