Our project focuses on revolutionizing waste management through IoT-enabled smart bins. These bins are equipped with sensors that monitor fill levels in real-time and transmit data to a central management system. This allows for optimized waste collection routes and schedules, reducing fuel consumption and emissions. To promote proper waste disposal and recycling, the bins have educational displays and sorting mechanisms. Users are incentivized with a rewards program, earning points for sustainable actions such as recycling, which can be redeemed for airtime or daily utilities. Additionally, the data collected from the bins provides valuable insights into waste generation patterns and behaviors, helping municipalities and organizations make informed decisions about waste management strategies. Our solution addresses key waste management challenges, including overflowing landfills, pollution, and resource depletion, while promoting sustainable practices

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

The main problem we are trying to solve is inefficient waste management, which leads to environmental pollution, overflowing landfills, and resource depletion. Traditional waste management systems often struggle with improper waste disposal, low recycling rates, and high operational costs due to inefficient collection processes.
