Stationary industry emissions are usually ignored with most companies working on direct air capture.Our solution is a solar powered carbon capture and utilization reactor that captures direct emissions from industries.

01.01 Describe your project in more detail

Cement and steel manufactures emit tonnes of CO2 in the production process.Our solution is the use of a solar powered carbon capture and utilization reactor unlike most carbon capture and storage solutions.We capture the carbon from industry chimney's/kilns through a capture solution and in a 2 compartmental reactor electricity is passes through the captured CO2.It is reduced to syngas and glycolic acid both useful by products.Hence direct industry emissions are curbed.

Direct industry emissions from production processes.

✓A solution for carbon mitigation that requires less space (underground mines ) and less capital to implement. ✓A quantifiable and measurable means of carbon Mitigation. ✓Circular economy through the re use of our by products.

Our initial target customers are cement and steel industries who together contribute to a global 36% of all emissions as most have the budget for sustainability projects implementation.

Edwin Mwangi - with 8 years of of experience in cement and construction related work, he is the key in market adoption through contacts with various industries. Lauren wanjiku- Her background in environmental science is crucial In carbon footprint calculations for the various industries. Samuel David-An experienced economist and finance major,whose sole purpose is to come up with the right strategies and market analysis for our product.

Our market research pointed out the significant rise of respiratory related problems in the communities surrounding the industries factories. This has been attributed to the rise of dust and carbon dioxide in the air. Since our solution captures the carbon from the air ,good health and wellbeing of the residents will be promoted.

05.08 Justification

Existing solutions of carbon capture mainly focus on storage. Our product utilizes the captured CO2 into by products with an added innovative advantage of designing our circuitry to incorporate plastics.

Carbon capture and storage solutions are our main competitors.These include: ✓Octavia carbon ✓Great carbon valley Our unique value proposition is: ✓ unlike CCS which require a lot of space for storing the captured carbon,our solution requires less space. ✓Most competitors focus on direct air capture, our solution targets industry carbon emissions capture.
