WaterCycle is designed to water recycling in an efficient and affordable way around the domestic or commercial household. The system seeks to implement circular water management solutions within the household and only discharge water after multiple uses.
01.01 Describe your project in more detail
With WaterCycle you lower both your water consumption and your wastewater emission by%. You also reduce your carbon footprint, because less water needs to be transported to and from the building, and less water needs to be cleaned in wastewater facilities. In countries with cooler winter climates, you also save energy. With Hydraloop, you use water twice – without compromising on living comfort or hygiene. Each Hydraloop device uses a unique combination of sustainable water treatment technologies that ensures the highest water quality, without requiring regular maintenance or doing harm to the environment. Most water treatment systems depend on filters or membranes. They often get dirty and clogged, so they need regular cleaning, maintenance, and replacement. Most water treatment systems also add chemicals to their water treatment process. This can harm the environment.
01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
We are facing a water crisis due to climate change, unequal water distribution and a great rise in freshwater demand in our domestic and commercial households. Up to 90% of all our water is saline – and most of the remaining percentage remains and becomes difficult to access. Only a small percentage of the total amount of water on earth is fresh and available. Making our freshwater sources very scarce and almost inaccessible to the general population depending on the geographical positioning of every individual and access to such water. WaterCycle seeks to solve the problem of proper use of the already scarce resource once it gets to our household and only discharge it to
01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your project intends to provide (at least 3).
WaterCycle intends to lower both your water consumption and your wastewater emission by 50%. It also intends to reduce your carbon footprint, because less water needs to be transported to and from the building and or by means of council or municipal delivery via pipes to different households. It also reduces the water that needs to be cleaned in wastewater facilities in order to be pumped back to the households
01.04 Please describe who exactly your project is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?
WaterCycle Systems in the ideal scenario should become a standard item in every single home and building, just like climate control, solar panels, or heat pumps Targeted Beneficiaries for the project are : 1. Domestic Households that use precious water in most of the flushing and washing within the units 2. Industries that use water in their processes and emit greywater 3. Educational Institutions that heavily rely on hand washing and flushing toilets 4. Businesses such as Car Washes that can recycle their water for upto 10 washes depending on the type of filtration system and reservoir tanks installed for the WaterCycle System

05.08 Justification
The process of getting the membranes and filters working together with the UV light to allow the water being reused become odorless X, colorless , clean and free from dirt and oil will need all these processes to be combined in an innovative way. The idea that WaterCycle is brought close to the Domestic Households and is a system that has been scaled to cater for the different typologies of forms that is residential, commercial and industrial. The ability to use local materials and scale it to the scope in question makes the innovation invaluable and timely at this time
05.09 Who are your main potential competitors and what makes you stand out from them?
The municipal would be the competitors being that purification system would be more effective as far as making the water drinkable however we stand out based on the fact that we try and repurpose for alternative uses within the household before discharging to the sewer for purification. We are able to control the scope of the precious water from when it gets to the facility in question upto discharge
