Describe your project or startup in a few words
This projects ia aimed at empowering jobless youth through waste management and recycling, fostering entrepreneurship, reducing crime, and promoting environmental sustainability for a brighter future.
01.01 Describe your project in more detail
I come from a community deeply affected by the scourge of illicit brews and drugs. Many of our youth, unfortunately, dropped out of school as early as secondary school and succumbed to substance abuse. This has led to a vicious cycle of joblessness, idleness, and crime. Young men & women wake up to a bleak reality, devoid of purpose and hope. The situation is dire, but not irreversible. Our youth are resilient and possess untapped potential that, if harnessed properly, can transform their lives and our community. The aim of this project is to engage these disaffected young people in productive work, making them self-sufficient and contributing positively to society. The primary objective of this project is to rehabilitate and empower jobless youth by engaging them in waste management and recycling activities. This initiative aims to provide a sustainable source of income, reduce substance abuse and crime rates, promote environmental conservation, and foster creativity and innovation.
01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
Our project aims to address these issues comprehensively. We will offer rehabilitation programs and awareness campaigns to combat substance abuse. By providing training in waste management and entrepreneurial skills, we create employment opportunities and foster self-sufficiency. Establishing a network of waste collection points and partnering with recycling plants will promote environmental conservation. Community clean-up drives and showcase events will engage the youth and strengthen social bonds. This initiative promises to reduce addiction, lower crime rates, create jobs, and enhance community cohesion and environmental sustainability.

Socially, it aims to reduce crime and substance abuse by engaging youth in productive activities, thereby diminishing the allure of drugs and crime. Cleaner environments resulting from proper waste management will lead to healthier living conditions, reducing the spread of diseases and improving overall well-being. Economically, the project will create jobs, providing a steady source of income for jobless youth and enabling them to support themselves and their families. Additionally, it equips them with entrepreneurial skills to start their own businesses, fostering a culture of entrepreneurship and self-reliance. Environmentally, the initiative promotes recycling and reduces waste, contributing to a cleaner and more sustainable community. By encouraging sustainable living practices, it helps reduce the environmental footprint and promotes a greener future for the community.
