Describe your project or startup in a few words

It is a fish farming project where I want to grow out fish mainly tilapia then venture into catfish and ornamentals. It will be a hybrid system containing aquaponics and chicken coops on top of the pond to assist in fertilising the pond.

01.01 Describe your project in more detail

I want to engage in aquaponics,where I'll rear tilapia to full maturity as well as have a circulating sysytem that I gorw herbs and vegetables using water from the pond. It will be a symbiotic relationship, where the nutrients from the ponds are used by the plants and in turn the plants oxygenate the water. Conserving on water used with maximum productivity. I will then expand to catfish farming and rearing of ornamentals to diversify revenue.

Access to affordable and quality fish meat and other fish products. Will also help with unemployment with the amount of work that will be available.

It will be fresh and organic, farm to plate. This will encourage healthy living and give consumers a variety to choose from.
