01.01 Describe your project in more detail
I intend to start a waste collection centre in our community bringing all the stake holders together in order to collect more I intend to use the following facilities schools churches mosques and the youths as we all know recycling can be a source of income there are vast materials that can be used as raw materials to make new products for instance plastics can be melted to make new plastics as well as metal the list can go on and on most of the products we use have a sing that says please return me to company people don't know how it works hence creating a big margin making more waste instead of recycling with your help in funding will do more training more collection and less waste making. It a better greener and clean community there is market for recycling but we lack collection centers knowledge to bridge the market at large as we. Collect more we will also reduce soil errosion and drainage clloging because most of theseproductend up in the garbag plus ahealthy generation
01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
Waste awareness most of the people don't know what to recycle and what to throw away Another issue that can be faced due to a lack of education on recycling practices is carrying out incorrect recycling practices. Following wrong recycling procedures due to a lack of education and incomplete experience will end up costing incredibly high with a lower recycling rate and unutilized resources and recyclable materials. results: 25% of the individuals do not feel educated about what can be thrown away and what cannot as well as what will be the environmental impact of it. 42% of respondents break down cardboard boxes for pick-up in the recycling bin, at the same time 58% don’t even bother to see where cardboard should be thrown for recycling purposes, and they end up throwing it in the general trash bin. This resulted in a significant amount of waste being sent to landfills Even after knowing the fact that recycling will help balance the adverse environmental impacts caused by increased wa
01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your project intends to provide (at least 3).
Waste vontroll Job creation Environmental awareness Healthy society recycling important, and how can it benefit the environment? There are many reasons why recycling is essential. Not only can it help reduce your carbon footprint, but it also helps reduce the need for harvesting raw materials, saves energy, reduces greenhouse gases, prevents pollution, and more vib By improving our recycling habits, we can help keep the environment clean and preserve our natural resources. Some of the world’s natural resources are in short supply, and when we recycle, we help conserve these natural resources. When we recycle paper, we save forests and trees. When we recycle plastic, it takes up a lot of solid waste and can take centuries to break down. In addition to this, most plastic comes from fossil fuel hydrocarbons. Recycling metals reduces the need to extract new metal ore while recycling glass reduces our need for certain raw materials like sand.Making products from recycled materials usesless
01.04 Please describe who exactly your project is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?
Recycling company's The community at large School children 1Recycling brings When we recycle, we reprocess materials to make new products, reducing the amount of waste sent for incineration.communities together and helps people raise money for schools, colleges, hospitals, and more. These recycling drives make towns and cities happier and cleaner. When communities come together to raise awareness about recycling, it teaches people about the importance of protecting the environment and how to do so. Educating people about protecting the environment can help equip future generations with the knowledge and understanding they need to reduce pollution.Recycling creates new jobs every year. Jobs in recycling include sorters, drivers, mechanics, technicians, and more. The saying one man’s trash is another man’s treasure couldn’t be truer than in the case of recycling. The market value of recycled or recyclable materials offers a great incentive for communities that recycle in masses to get.

institutional structure as a conducive platform for recycling activities, their multiple motivational drivers for recycling and their collective potential to expand their programmes to the broader community. Hence, the findings have shown that the potential role of religious communities in environmental practices, such as recycling, has to go beyond general idealism on the positive influence of religious values/ethics on environmental protection – but due emphasis also needs to be given to the characteristics of each religious community, and how these can be useful in supporting different aspects of a recycling programme.

Not answered05.09 Who are your main potential competitors and what makes you stand out from them?
One of the major challenges in Kenya’s waste and recycling sector is that the urban waste is either not collected and recycled at all, or it is collected by waste pickers who are perceived as outcasts and live in poverty, under poor working conditions. At the same time, the 500.000 registered refugees, hosted by Kenya, generally face substantial barriers to access employment opportunities. The low income of waste pickers and the plastic waste challenge in areas hosting refugees are closely connected. Both are a result of low-value chain efficiency, limited value addition and a lack of formal organisation. By partnering with other organisations such as Mr green Africa andA swop-shop provides a shopping alternative to our normal money-based system as it allows people to exchange goods and services for their recyclables. It’s uniquely Kenyan and a meaningful way to support communities that may not have a lot of disposable income by doing this we will be able to market productsrange in kg
