01.01 Describe your project in more detail
In a nutshell, the chicken keeping project involve raising day old chicks for eggs and meat.The project aims at identifying suitable chicken based on local conditions and market demand..The project begins by building a deep litter house ensuring enough space for the birds,proper ventilation, nesting boxes and perches and protection from predators.Purchase of day old chicks which are healthy and vaccinated from a reputable suppliers near me.Monitor their health and nwatch signs of illness and unusual behaviour or droppings.Egg collection is done daily and feed and clean water to be provided daily.Reveiw and evaluation should be done on the performance against initial goals, production,costs and challenges faced and adjustment should be made to improve efficiency and outcome. Veterenians should be consulted on vaccination schedule and any other diseases.

Heath-conscious customers seeking free range chicken products. Schools hospitals churches and other big institutions that requires large quantities of chicken products. Catering companies in need of large quantities of chicken products for events such as weddings and gatherings.

The first one has an experience of working on one of the biggest poultry farm called Kenchic company in Athi river The second one has a diploma in procurement. The third one has has skills in feeding and taking care of chicken and also has a experience in monitoring the chicken.She once had a farm and it worked out well for starters.

It is unique since most of the people are used to seasonal supply of eggs and meat while the project will have regular supply by use of an incubator.
05.09 Who are your main potential competitors and what makes you stand out from them?
My main competitors are local farmers.They are used to letting the hens to hatch on their own which tmy take a long time hence by use of incubator I will have regular supply of eggs and meat and might be able to beat them.

Yes by engagement through events and partnerships promoting awareness about sustainable agriculture to women. Forming Sacco for women only about sustainable agriculture practices
