EVPay is a payment system platform that is aimed at seamless payment of electric vehicles services such as fare payment and vehicle maintenance while being fitted with an AI enabled GPS system that assists in route determination and vehicle tracking.

01.01 Describe your project in more detail

EVpay seeks to provide a platform that will allow both an electric vehicle owner , an electric bus passenger and driver to access electric vehicle services in a single system seamlessly.The major services that the system provides are Fare Payment for passengers where by scanning a QR code , the passenger will be able to pay for transportation costs, the same system applies for the maintenance services. We are creating a system to allow for easy payment of these services. In addition to the payment of these services, our platform will also be fitted with an AI system that will allow tracking of other Electric buses according to the passenger's location so that the passengers can be able to note the availability of these buses near their location. Our GPS system fitted in EVPay allows for route determination for electric bus drivers , a recommendation system for alternative routes, and an alert system to notify the driver of a passenger's arrival at a given destination.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

EVPay seeks to solve the main issue of disorganization of service payment systems for most vehicles, especially electric ones, by providing a centralized service payment system that will allow for easy coordination and management of finances by electric car and bus companies while making the driver's life easier through automated route determination, destination tracking, and recommendation of alternative routes while taking note of electric vehicles within one's locality.

Centralized payment platform for electric vehicle services for both EV owners and passengers. Automated GPS Bus Tracker for the passengers according to their location to enable ease of access to these buses. Automated Route Determination ,Route Recommendation and Passenger Destination Alert system for the driver.

EVPay primarily targets the people involved in the transportation industry more so in the electric vehicle sector that is the EV Drivers and Electric Bus Paasengers.

My partners are the following: 1.Kelvian Wesale - A skilled UI/UX Designer with a mechanical engineering background. Currently a 4th year Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering Student at Multimedia University of Kenya 2.Bramwel Juma Barasa - A 4th year Computer Science Student at Multimedia University of Kenya with skills in both Front end and Back end Programming 3.Kassim Ali - A 4th Year Computer Science Student at Multimedia University of Kenya with skills in both Mobile and Web development.

Our system is an improvement to the payment system that exists in most transportation services.Our system is a new concept that seeks to assist not only passengers but also drivers in the EV transport sector

05.09 Who are your main potential competitors and what makes you stand out from them?

SasaPay is a payment platform that can be a potential competitor but our AI enhanced GPS system gives us a head start as its functionalities are things that SasaPay could only dream of.

10.06 Are you initiating actions within your community to promote the role of female entrepreneurs?

Yes. As a 4th year Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering student i have taken my time to mentor two of my female friends in 3rd and 2nd years by training them in coding and IoT with the hopes that they may use skills gained for their own development which at times maybe entrepreneurial
