The Project is aimed at introducing mini Service Bays for both Commuter Motor Bikes and Sport bikes at selected TotalEnergies Service Stations,with an aim of increasing the sales of 4T and 2T motor lubes while creating opportunities,lowering counterfeits.

The project is aimed at reducing the counterfeit products sold at the estates and to introduce new mini motorcycles services bays that will provide professional products and services while generating revenue revenues to mechanics and service stations

The project will benefit the service station in increasing sales of motor lubes,fuel and service fees,generating revenues.To the Riders/Bikers,interaction with expert mechanics will increase awareness on more efficient lubricants they should be using,they will get professional services and products as opposed to the services they get at the estates.It is also a job creating project as it is aimed at creating opportunities to the mechanics thereby improving their living standards .TotalEnergies will also benefit from being Pioneer company in identifying this field that is yet to be exploited yet a very lucrative venture interms of generation of revenue if done professionally.

01.04 Please describe who exactly your project is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?

This project is targeting a fleet of loyal customers who regularly purchase lubricants on take away basis since the motorbike service bays aren’t available at the service station level.The project aims at bringing other slow moving products such as Synthetic Motorbike oils into the market and targeting an already grown and still growing market of riders,to educate them on advantages of these products.The mechanics are also the beneficiaries as they will for the first time,operate under the umbrella of TotalEnergies,an already Trusted brand and will be paid based on commission.TotalEnergies will also benefit by improved sales of these products,service fees,rent contributions and no salaries paid to the mechanics as they will be on arranged commission based pay.

Amongst my partners is a woman mechanic currently working as a motor bike mechanic at a Honda service bay. One of my colleague,male is a retired mechanic based in Nairobi and another one is a lubricants technician at Synergy.Then the retired mechanic is into importation of genuine spares and Bikers PPEs.

It is an improvement of services provided as motorbike lubricants are always sold on take away basis but on low numbers,other riders/bikers prefer to purchase lubes and fo services at the estate mechanics who give them counterfeits and substandard products and services.So this project comes with improved services

Main Competitors are Estate mechanics.What makes me stand out are the professional services and mechanics under the umbrella of a Trusted brand.Another strength is the availability of adequate stock at the service station and availability of other complementary products like fuel and spares…

Am a supervisor where I work and sometimes gets involved in recruitment process,where I give opportunities to women also to showcase their skills.
