Midas City is a Nairobi-based design studio founded by two architects, specializing in creating bespoke 3D metal art solutions for businesses and individuals using advanced technology. Our design process integrates Artificial Intelligence i.e. Midjourney to run design iterations based on the client's brief. We then integrate CAD tools like ArchiCAD and Sketchup for precise measurements for fabrication and virtual modelling of the artworks. Our products include custom art installations for homes and offices, educational tools and toys for schools, and wayfinding solutions for businesses i.e. navigation tools and labels. Each piece is crafted with care, reflecting our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction. Our unique approach combines artistic creativity with technical expertise, resulting in stunning, one-of-a-kind pieces that enhance any space. Committed to sustainability, we use eco-friendly materials and processes, minimizing waste and promoting responsible production.

The main problem Midas City aims to solve is the inefficiency and imprecision in the current design and production processes in Nairobi. Traditional production methods often result in higher costs, longer production times, and inconsistencies in quality. Many design firms lack the integration of advanced technologies such as AI and CAD tools, which can significantly streamline the design process and improve accuracy. This technological gap leads to suboptimal final products that do not fully meet clients' expectations. By leveraging AI for design iterations and using CAD tools like ArchiCAD and Sketchup for precise measurements and modeling, Midas City offers a solution that enhances efficiency, reduces costs, and ensures high-quality, custom-designed products. Our use of eco-friendly materials and sustainable methods further ensures that our solutions are not only advanced but also responsible and forward-thinking.

She graduated with a first-class honors degree in architecture from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. Her keen eye for detail and deep understanding of client needs ensure that Midas City delivers high-quality, creative design solutions that exceed expectations. 10.06 Are you initiating actions within your community to promote the role of female entrepreneurs?

My business partner, Salome Akoth, is a member of the Kenya Girl Guides Association [KGGA], within which a platform titled 'Her the Entrepreneur' has been established. It is a program within which young women between the age of 18 - 35 are empowered with the necessary skills and resources required to be impactful and effective entrepreneurs within their communities. She has participated in and collaborated directly with other women in a number of initiatives within this sector, with the most recent being an entrepreneurship workshop held by Deloitte at the KGGA Headquarters on 14th May 2024. These have been instrumental in upskilling and equipping her with essential entrepreneurship skills. Another goal of her participation in 'Her the Entrepreneur' is to establish partnerships with other female entrepreneurs that can be leveraged for Midas City as it continues to grow.
