Describe your project or startup in a few words

Bottleglass decorblocks are basically simple concrete blocks incorporated with recycled glass bottle to give it a distinctive appearance. The bottle is fitted with a small bulb in it to illuminate the bottle giving the block use as decorblock.

01.01 Describe your project in more detail

Step:1 Different types of glass bottle are collected, cement, balast and water. Standard size  block mould box. Step:2 Cleaning of glass bottles completely. Concrete mixture of ratio 1:3:6 is made. Small well connected  electric bulbs are inserted into the bottles and its opening closed temporarily  to avoid concrete getting in. With customers wish the bottles are either laid in the box or left upright with side exposed that will  allow the illumination get through the whole bottles in it. Carefully  the mixture is poured in with slight agitation  to expell  trapped air in the box.Fill it to the top only allowing bottle opening out if needed for bulb changing. Step:3 The block is the left to cure  l:ike any other concrete  work, it might take 3 to 5 day may be. Step 4 Allow the molded decorblock out of molding box and clean it to avoid any stain on the glass.The block is ready for use within different  parts of the house from   decoration  to pavement  illumination.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

My project is aiming to recycle used glass bottles wastes resulting. From my observation a glass is non degradable material and also is very dangerous to all living organisms when ingested or stepped on when broken. Most of our children have suffered from it cutting which have lead to more being hospitalised. Also the glass bottle have blocked drainage system making it hard for other waste to be transported to designated areas.

01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your project intends to provide (at least 3).

First, these product is cheaper compared to other product. Second, it helps in resolving the issue of night accidents within the area installed since it illuminate the footpaths at night. Third, it gives the place distinctive attraction mostly when used in recreation areas.

01.04 Please describe who exactly your project is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?

My project would serve majorly the general public.Community will acquire jobs for those collecting bottles and those molding the blocks to those transporting.

One partner has been my classmate and we have been working on different projects related to the courses we pursue. Second is my close friend working in block mold local station.

Most of these people working within the project will at end of the day get some cash to buy food and even produce clean food away from harmful glass broken allover the farm.

Some of these bottles disposed are for harmful chemical and yet not washed. Collecting then prevent it from being misused by the chilren or even animals whìh may lead to serious issues. Furthermore harmful broken glasses are reduce since no more glasses.

05.08 Justification

My idea os innovative simply because nobody has ever used such innovative techniques to decorate their pavements or homes before. Morever nobody has used the glass bottle without crushing it to small pieces and melting it. My work is of no additional input at all and also no emmision due to heat.

05.09 Who are your main potential competitors and what makes you stand out from them?

My main potential competitors are tile sellers,painters and cabros maķers.To be unique my products are cheap and readily available with additional attractive features including safety ones.

10.06 Are you initiating actions within your community to promote the role of female entrepreneurs?

Yes, within my project business idea most of the female should acquire positions to supervise the workers. Most female with leadership skill will have to be my supervisor s.
