Describe your project or startup in a few words

I want to provide a healthier alternative drink that is more nutritious and healthy. I therefore introduce sugarcane juice that will be available in six nutritious flavours for all age groups.

01.01 Describe your project in more detail

In the past, people have not paid enough attention on the drinks they consume. Detail on the kind of drinks and food they ingest have been neglected. However, after the recent Covid-19 pandemic, people have come to realize that consuming healthy foods and drinks play a big role in protecting against diseases in the long run. Therefore, I would like to introduce to the market Sugarcane Juice that is naturally healthy and has a ton of nutritious elements. The sugarcane juice will be available in six different flavors that have been carefully designed and selected to meet different age groups needs. These are Ginger, Lemon Mint, Spinach, Mango, Pineapple and MelonThis is in order to ensure that everyone from the youngest children to the oldest parents have a share of this sweet but nutritious drink. In terms of making the drink available to people in its freshest form and without adding preservatives, there will be no pre production but rather it will be based on the orders that come in.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

I would like to change the dietary habits of the people which have had a negative impact on their lifestyles. These problems include lifestyle illnesses such as obesity and Diabetes. Despite sugarcane juice having sugar, it also contains polyphenol antioxidants which help in production of insulin that regulates body sugars. Therefore, diabetic patients can have access to a sweet drink that does not endanger their wellbeing. On the other hand, sugarcane juice packs a great deal of benefits such as cancer fighting properties and also helps in digestion and improving functioning of the kidney. This will therefore translate to a nation that not only drinks, but drinks healthy. A nations that will have better bodies and save on the large amounts of money spent on treatment of lifestyle diseases for both children and adults.

01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your project intends to provide (at least 3).

Sugarcane juice is full beneficial properties that will be a great boost to the general population. Some of the benefits include; 1. Helps in fighting cancer. 2. Helps people with diabetes to regulate their body sugars. 3. Improves digestion especially for young children and older adults. 4. Helps in liver function. 5. Helps in building strong bones and teeth and this is especially helpful in young children who are growing. 6. Helpful for pregnant mothers 7. Helps in improving the body's immunity especially for children and older people who are more prone to diseases. 8. Helps in body fat regulation removing the need for many hours at the gym.

01.04 Please describe who exactly your project is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?

The project itself is aimed at ensuring that the community and nation at large have access to a healthy drink that will help improve their bodies and immune systems. This will later translate to low levels of lifestyle diseases such as diabetes and obesity. The project itself has put into consideration the whole population at large not excluding anyone either by age, sex or even religion. The different flavors cut across all ages. This has been done putting into consideration their different needs and tastes. The flavors include Mango, Pineapple and Watermelon which are for the younger generations and Ginger, Spinach and Lemon Mint which are tailored for the older generations. This selection ensures a drink that appeals and cuts across all age groups for a better and healthier society.

Sugarcane juice is not only a sweet beverage but it is also filled with lots and lots of minerals and vitamins that are super beneficial to the body. It has medicinal characteristics that helps in preventing diseases such as colds and flu. It also helps in fighting cholesterol in the body and also helps in body metabolism and helps in fighting cancer.

The food and beverage sector provides a great potential in the future. This is due to the sudden shifts in people's selection of the food and drink that they consume. Also, employment of people in this sector will help boost their income and overall the economy of the nation.

Sugarcane juice is obtained from sugarcane plant that is naturally hard and therefore requires new ways of innovation to extract the juice. Also, newer and better methods of juice extraction will be required in order to reduce production costs and improve efficiency and workflow of the production system.

The product that we are envisioning is a better improvement of the existing products in the market. This is because of the new flavors that are being added and the way that the product will reach it's customers.

The main potential competitors in the this filed include all soft drinks manufacturers and comanies and the main way that we will stand out from them is that, we will create awareness on the type of product that we are producing which will be natural and also that it has no added additives or sweeteners. The second way that we will use to make our product stand out is advertising it as a medicine that will help protect the society from diseases.
