01.01 Describe your project in more detail
This project aims to develop and deploy an advanced IoT technology and AI for two primary purposes: green water purification and remote monitoring of greenhouse gases (GHGs). The dual focus on water and air quality addresses critical environmental and public health challenges in Kenya, leveraging cutting-edge technology to ensure sustainable development and improved quality of life for communities.Leveraging AI prediction will aid in efficient operation of the purification systems while as the IoT sensors will be used to track water quality and the GHG levels for real-time data collection.This will help promote environmental sustainability by reducing pollution into the atmosphere, and improving public health through access of clean water.The project aims to contribute to broader sustainable goals and a more sustainable future through strategic partnerships with government agencies, NGOs and private sectors.
01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
I am focused on tackling significant environmental challenges in Kenya, including reducing greenhouse gas emissions and improving water quality. This involves implementing advanced technologies like AI and IoT for real-time monitoring of emissions and developing efficient water purification systems. By addressing these issues, the project aims to promote environmental sustainability, safeguard public health, and support sustainable development initiatives.

1. Enhanced Environmental Sustainability: By optimizing water purification processes and monitoring greenhouse gas emissions, the project promotes cleaner air and water quality. Improved Public Health: Access to clean water reduces waterborne diseases, while monitoring and reducing greenhouse gases enhance air quality.This improves overall public health outcomes, particularly in vulnerable communities reliant on safe water and clean air.

It's tailored to address local challenges like water scarcity and pollution, by engaging communities through education, training, and job creation, ensuring sustainable solutions are embraced locally. By combining innovation with practical applications, new standards are set in efficiency, reliability, and environmental stewardship, supporting both public and private sector efforts towards impactful, cost-effective environmental solutions.
